As many other reviewers, I am 4 days shy from the one year anniversary of when we first installed this item. About 10 minutes ago the screen blew out. There are two of us who use it, we typically leave the screen alone, use the remote and have no kids to blame for any "abuse" to the product. It's just funny how others have noted the "1 year" marker on failure. Makes me think that this is intended. Never again. Stay away and save your $ for a better solution.

We bought this unit for our kitchen. Day after turkey day good deal right? Wrong !! 2days after having it hooked up the sound went out. Tried everything to get it back thinking that I hit something. Called tech support and they said nope nothing you could have done, you will need to return it to the store if you just got it. That is just what I did. Wouldn't advise to purchase this unit no matter what the savings.

I was hesitant to buy this because of previous reviews on quality and the buzzing sound but purchased anyway because it had the key features we wanted: 1. must have swivel 2. must have DVD player, 3. must fit under cabinet in kitchen.
It was relatively easy to install (about 1 hour because I wanted to make sure the holes were where I wanted them.)
The swivel mechanism is kind-of flimsy feeling but it has not let us down. We've had it for a month and so far it works exactly as expected.
Some things we wish it had:
1. Closed Captioning (it doesn't have this feature. We like CC because we can watch a program without the kids hearing it while doing dishes, etc.
2. Some metal on the housing would be nice since the remote has a magnet to be used on your refrigerator. But what if your refrigerator is not near your tv? It would make sense to magnetically attach the remote on the unit itself.

Otherwise it works as advertised. We tried the radio and the DVD and they work fine also.
A note about the buzz. My wife can hear it but I can't. Maybe it's a frequency thing or maybe I'm going deaf. My wife can't hear it when standing at more than 3 feet away but she can hear it when she is standing closer.

Overall, I think it is a little pricey for what you get but if you want a flat screen tv that can swivel and fold up under your cabinet in your kitchen, you don't have many choices.
Our other choice was the nifty looking westinghouse model but that can't swivel and that feature alone nudged us towards the audiovox model.

I bought this tv even after reading bad reviews, I thought that I maight get a good one. Didn't happen screen went out after the second day,I already through the box away, I just hope I can get my money back. I do not recomend that anyone buy one of these.

My kids gave this to me X-mas 07. Was purchased on Black Friday. Have not had any of the problems others have expressed so far. I guess its like anything else you purchase, sometimes you just get a lemon. Going on 2 years with mines and I couldn't be happier.

Loved this tv at first. Convenient size and shape. Loved the magnetic remote...never lost. It lasted 18 months. Tuner went out and it would cost more to fix than buy a new tv that is if you can get the part. Audiovox is absolutely impossible to get in touch withaccording to repairman. I even tried and there is no phone number you can reach someone plus their website it totally non customer friendly. I'll never buy another product from this company.

Would NOT recommend unless you don't really expect products you buy to last for very long. It was great for a while and then suddenly it just quit working. When we try to turn it on, it acts like it's going to come on and the display shows "DVD" then it goes off and the clock resets to 12:00. We try again and again and it never comes on. That means we can't use it AT ALL! We can't even use the radio because the entire unit shuts itself off every time. We did get nearly one good year of use out of it, but for the price I would have expected much longer. It seemed like a good deal at the time but if I had it to do over, I would purchase something different. Purchased on Black Friday 2007 as did the other reviewer - wish I had as good of an experience with it as she did... (I am online today finally looking to replace that stupid thing that is still hanging under my kitchen cabinet and thought I would let others know my experience with it.)

After searching for an under-cabinet unit with TV, DVD & radio to replace another model that had broken, this was the only thing I could find with a 12-inch screen. I read all the reviews here & on other sites, which really made me ponder what to do. The majrity of reviews were not favorable. I went ahead & ordered it (along with the 3-year extended warranty through Target). It came & I paid $... for our security/technology company to install it to be sure it was wired correctly with security video, cameras, etc. It loked very easy to install (it was more the wiring & technology I was worried about, not drilling it through the cabinets). We turned it on & within 5 minutes it turned itself off. The unit would NOT stay on more than a few minutes at a time. From what we saw the picture was fine, and we did not hear the high frequency noise some other reviews mentioned, but the unit was not functional. The DVD function did not work at all. The remote control worked only 50% of the time. The radio worked fine.

We un-installed it & returned it to Target with no hassle yesterday, and have ordered another unit online. I'll give it one more try, then I guess we'll just have to settle for a small flat panel on the counter if this doesn't work.

Bought this TV on Black Friday in 2007. Loved it -- while it worked. In summer of 2009, it died. When we turned it on, the display on front showed DVD, for a few seconds, until the set turned itself off. Neither company nor Target will assume any responsibility. company wants a lot of money to repair, with no guarantee that it will continue to work beyond 90 days. What a piece of Junk!

I purchased this under-the-cabinet tv almost a year ago. Since the screen is small, I had it mounted under the cabinet closest to my breakfast bar (where we sit most often). We love it. I bought it during the Christmas sale (day after Thanksgiving) for $. What a great bargain!!! It is great to reclaim my counter space.
