Works great for a while then same part always cracks and breaks.Still looking to replace part. Hard to find. Don't buy this model or anyone that looks like it. Big waste of good money..

All I have to say about the Emerson Ice Maker is it ROCKS!!!! we make ice every day with it and not a problem with it and it has stayed running for a few days making ice after refilling the water a few times. ice tast good and is just a great ice maker.to add we have had it for 6 months and I would recomend it to my best friend or anyone who was looking for a portable ice maker.

I agree with all previous reviews. I bought this machine and the add water light came on after one week. I threw out the box so target will not refund my money. I have tried getting ahold of Emerson and everytime I call it says all representatives are busy call back later and it hangs up on me. The one time i did get through they sent me to someones voicemail and that person has never caleed me back. I have called atleast 5 times a week for now 3 weeks. So I still have a broken ice machine. I tried tipping it at a 45 degree angle, didnt work for my machine. Thank You for all of your reviews though because we were about to go buy another one from target today. Now we will go with our previous brand machine, that worked great just wore out after several years of daily use.

After reading the mixed reviews it was with great fear and trepidation i purchased this ice maker. But, I am more than happy we took the chance.
It has worked flawlessly, pumping out almost a full 13L garbage bag full of ice. Starting from room temperature, it made it's first cubes in ten minutes.
It does have it's quirks though.
1. The "full ice" sensor occasionally has a newly made cube fall on it and shuts it down until you remove the ice cube and "warm" the sensor up with your fingers. Then it's back to making ice.
2, We ran it out of water on purpose, filled it back up, turned it off then on...ten minutes later ice was coming out again.
3. We wiped it out with water, then ran a full tray of cubes thru it before using any. Absolutely no aftertaste. We have city water, which in and of itself has no aftertaste either.
All in all, we are very satisfied with the performance of this ice maker and would recommend it. We figure it will pay for itself in six months (not including the gas you'd use in running to go get the ice).

Customers that give very negative reviews must not be reading and following the instructions. I've been making all three different ice size's for the past three day' with no problems at all. Will recomend this product to all my fellow camper's.

I bought this ice maker and followed the instructions on set up. The unit did not even make a full basket load of ice before it quit working.All it will do is cycle through. best left at the store

I even call the place in Texas that distributes these turds....The person of the phone sounded like a idiot. Don't buy this item....China crap.

The Emerson didn't work even one week. I see there are a few fixes on this page so I'll give them a try but I'm seriously dissatisfied with this product. We had a Magic Chef ice maker that worked fine for 3 years before one of the paddle connectors broke. Thought I could save a little money but I regret not replacing it with another Magic Chef.

I was really excited to find this ice maker at my Target store. I brought it home on Saturday and it quit on Wednesday. We exchanged it, thought we would give it another try. We got the new one on Sunday and it quit working on Tuesday. I read the manual, I did everything I had read about to do, and it simply will not make ice. The low water indicator light stays on an nothing happens. I am returning this one and will purchase one elsewhere. I am very dissatisfied with this product and don't ever plan on purchasing another Emerson product from Target.

Bought the machine for camping and was so thrilled with the results. I recommend it to all my friends. It also keeps up when quests come over...
