We bought this shredder thinking it would be better than the less price that we 4 yrs probs at all , only did not have a custom basket.Anyway this almost $ 50.00 shredder was supposed to be some heavy home duty machine that eats all. well we did not even get to fill the basket once. it was 3/4 full when the shredder blades apparently shredded them selves.The sad part is we only fed it paper and a few staples here and there.Three months is all we got out of it and we are out a big price ist of warranty period. save your money and buy the cheaper price n bigger.

I bought one of these in the store. When I opened it and took it home, the metal mesh basket was bent. So I returned it for another one. This time the problem was that the machine only worked for a few minutes and then burnt out. So I returned that one as well. I ended up going to Staples where I had problem there as well. But eventually, I bought a small one from Staples. Whatever you do, don't buy any shredders from Target. They are all junk!

I just wanted to add to the other disappointed customers. We had the same problems with ours. We didn't even get a full basket of shredded paper before, like someone else said, it started shredding itself. We never put staples in it either, only a few expired credit cards. Target should discontinue this item; it is definitely JUNK!

I agree with everyone's ratings. I took the normal preventative maintenance steps but it still failed after less than 1 year. First the shredder started jamming the paper under the plastic cover. Then the paper formed an compressed blob between the blades that I could not even free with needle nose pliers.

I bought this piece of Junk much like all the others which have reviewed i always read reviews but i guess i bought it before all these other customers which whom i now have the terrible misfortune to share the same horrible results.

I purchased this shredder when it was at a great price. Took it home and after 2 days it stopped working. I returned it and recieved a replacement. After a day this one stopped working as well. I do not recommend this shredder to anyone, and I wish Target would discontinue this product and take it of their website.
