There are so many things to do with this and the extended playtime value over time is great. We bought this for a one year old who is now two and she still plays with it every other day at least. She knew her ABC's at one and a half. The apple coins that get dropped in the tree part haven't been lost because they store well, and it's her favorite part. She also incorporates this set into the rest of her Little People playsets like a town. She likes to draw shapes on the "Magnadoodle" screen now that she's a little older. She wrote for the first time and drew an A on this part.
The pizza oven drop that tells her the shapes is her other favorite part. Works great, doesn't suck batteries, and has an on/off. We love it. It's also been knocked over, stepped on, and thrown and it will not break it seems. Love the compactness when it folds up, and the carry handle (very portable, she carries it all over the house) and easily stored.

I thought this was a little pricey when I bought it -- but since there was a BOGO deal I went ahead and got it. Now that I've seen my daughter (who was 22 months when I got it) play with it every single day, I can easily say I'd pay full price if I had it to do all over again. She adores this toy and will play with it four times as long as any of her other toys. The little songs make her dance and sing along, she sends Eddie and Sonya Lee to the doctor and dentist at least once a day, and she loves to count the apples and draw on the writing screen (don't forget to color in the screen completely and then erase it several times before the first use -- just like the directions say -- or you'll have the same problem with your drawing screen that the other reviewer had.)

"Santa" got this for my son for Christmas. He was 27 months and didn't really play with it too much. However, the past two months it has been his favorite toy!! He LOVES the apple tree and all the sounds. We also enjoy writing letters on the little wipeboard. He loves playing with the people and making up stuff about them. The only two things I would change would be to make the spinning animals a little more stiff so they stay in place when you spin them to find the right colored animals. The wipeboard doesn't really erase really well, but I knew that would be the case when I bought it, so it's not a big deal or a big surprise. Overall, we LOVE it and would buy it again!!!

My 24-month old received this for Christmas and has played with it every day since. It is great for her imagination (with a little help getting started with the grown ups!) and for casually learning the alphabet and numbers. We even have talked about having good manners, like the pizza man does and what it will mean when we go to the dentist. We recently went to the doctor and we talked about the doctor in her town. I really like this toy for her. Worth the money and now looking for add-ons like a teacher and more friends to play with.
Only two things I would change. I would make the pieces latch together a little better, for carrying reasons and the apples are a little difficult to push into the tree (and sometimes get stuck.) Nothing we can't handle, but this is a near-perfect toys with these tweaks!
