i bought this on sale at my local target and i figured i'd get a good two weeks out of it before it bit the dust. little did i know, i'd just bought the single most resilient piece of technology i've ever owned. the darn thing cannot be killed. it's gone down multiple flights of stairs, a drop off the balcony of at least 15 feet onto hard soil, and slamming head (and rear) first into dozens of door jambs, chair legs, and anything on the floor of my home. my latest game involves throwing an nfl regulation football with full power head on into the truck as it approaches. it is not deterred. i challenge anyone to destroy this car with anything approaching regular use. i have no doubt it could take on a dodge neon and come out no worse for the wear.

I purchase this silver Hummer and the matching red Silverado from Target. They are on different frequencies so they can be run at the same time. The Silver Hummer developed a very pronounced jerky forward motion due to a gearbox problem on its second run, after one head-on crash with the red Silverado. Yes I know, head-on crashes are not "nice" but after reading the other reviews I expected a little more durability from this toy. Target refunded my purchase price no-questions-asked....that's a plus for shopping at Target. Perhaps I got a lemon so I'll try one more time and will buy another one of these when they are available.
Note: The "run" time is about 25 minutes at constant full-speed operation on an unused basketball court. Run time would be much longer if they toy were being used in the house since you could not stay a full speed very long. The first two charge times are 8 hours each followed by 6 hours on following charges.

I have been looking for a remote control car for my 6 1/2 year old son, since 2007. We have had 3 cars, that have either fell apart, wouldn't maneuver around corners or were slow and lost power. I bought this because of the review and definitely would recommend it! It even comes with a charger and a rechargable battery! Great value!
