Wish I could have given it zero stars! This toy is awful don't buy it! I purchased two of these for my twin daughters. The Sesame Street first story reader and the Baby Einstein first story reader. Both came with a book base. I thought it would be great that the books could be used with either base. NO! The books can't be interchanged. There is no way to know this until they are purchased and the boxes were thrown away so they can't be returned. How is a 2 year old suppose to know which case goes with which book? I wanted them to be independent as possible. And the kicker is the company does make a book base that will read all 6 books, but its [...]. So frustrated!

I received this as a gift for my son for Christmas. I kept it stored on the shelf for a few months. I took it down and let my son play with it. He loved flipping through the books and pushing the buttons. Now, after a couple of weeks of playing with it off and on, it won't work. At first, it would only read one page, over and over. Now, it won't recognize any book! What a waste of money. Now I have to tell my mother-in-law that she wasted her money on a gift for her grandson!

I bought this told last Christmas for my then 18 month old daughter. After playing with it only a few times, it stopped recognizing pages in the book and repeating a few over and over again. It is so poorly designed that it breaks in half and had to constantly had to be put back together. Please, please save your money and spend it on something more functional and educational for your son or daughter.
