i mite just get another one... and addressing the question before me..its yes it is very compatible with digital television it saids so in the features ..compatible with digital and analog regular mode tv. I still need my vcr not plannin on buying all these movies that i have into dvd mode..thanks target online....another happy customer

I am interested in buying this product, but it must record from the new digital stations. We have two stations in our area that are still analog but these will disappear by June. My "old" VCR will not record digital. If this one will not I am not interested.

Words can't describe how happy and relieved I am to have found this item!! I have a family video tape that has bits and pieces of my father in it, who passed away when we were still kids that I knew I had to convert over to DVD soon. The tape is in pretty rough shape. I had been searching for companies/stores that provide the service of converting VHS movies to DVD, and not only were their prices ridiculous, but I couldn't stand the thought of handing my one and only video memory over to a complete stranger who was just going to ship it off somewhere to get it done, only to have me worry about my tape and have to wait more than a month!
Having this at home where I can do it myself, and knowing that I can preserve these memories and still have my video tape without having to ship it off anywhere is priceless!
It is very easy to use and the software it comes with allows you to edit the video and cut out pieces, if you choose.
This is the best purchase I've made all year!! I love it♥
