My husband bought me this machine when I was pregnant and craving slushies day in and day out. I make 2-3 slushies a day for myself and at least one a day for my older girls! I have had NO problems with it, even making them back to back. I use crushed ice from the fridge dispenser which is easier on the motor. I love to add just juice to the ice instead of sugary mixes. Gatorade and koolaid are also great. As long as you follow the directions - put the right amount of liquid in it - it has been fine. The glasses are marked for easy easy use - how much liquid, how much ice. Such easy clean up too! It is a fabulous machine and I love it more every day!

I've had this for a few months now and use it daily to make individual smoothies. I fill it up with frozen fruit, yogurt and liquids, or cocoa, coffee, coconut milk and crushed ice, blend for 20-30 seconds and voila, a perfectly smooth drink. It keeps me from making too much like I do when I use my Vitamix, does almost as good a job of blending, and is easier to clean. In fact I tend to only use my Vitamix now to pre-grind ingredients the slushie maker can't completely handle: flax and chia seed, dried coconut, etc. I love it.

I bought this as a smoothie maker two years ago on sale for 14.99. The motor just started to slow. I used my blender almost daily for smoothies with frozen fruit and ice, and this little guy chops through everything. It's also small and easy to clean. It would be great if they added a cup with a travel lid to this product.

I've had this 2 years now and love it. To me, it works better than a blender, saves space and is very easy to use. I've made smoothies, slushies, shakes and assorted adult beverages. Simple enough for kids and husbands to use! Easy clean-up is an added bonus.

I bought this item for my daughter a year ago, but at the time she opted to return several gifts for something else. I had gotten the Slushie Express on sale for a great price, so I thought I would keep it and use it myself. However, it sat on the shelf for over a year before I finally got it out and actually tried it. Once I did and realized how easy it is to use and clean, I am totally sold and I don't want to live without it! I make at least one per day and sometimes two (they're SO good and easy to make!) I admit that I rarely use ice cubes but mostly use frozen berries in the mix so I don't know how well it handles large ice cubes. I read what another reviewer said about the motor burinig up, and it may be that this product is not made for making slushies for a group. But if you want something to make a single-serving slushie for a quick meal or snack, then definitely consider this little machine.

this is the fastest & easiest machine to make a slushie. Cup has measuring lines for each ingredient needed. Worth the money.

I was going to give this 4 stars, but for what it is and what it's meant for and for the price, it's a 5 in it's category.

We make slushies and smoothies for all 4 of us in row. First day it was blue slushies. The next day it was frozen bananas with milk. Yesterday was strawberry banana with oj and a little ice. The kids like that they each get a turn to make theirs. Clean up is quick and easy and even if you forget it isn't a deep container or tough to clean anything dried on.

I have only had this for a month but we use it a few times a day and haven't had any problems. It probably isn't strong enough to make very thick shakes and smoothies but for everyday quick mixes it's very nice

My kids have been bugging me for a slushie maker for a long time. Some friends have one (don't know what kind) and evidently theirs worked great. This one doesn't do much for making a slushie and my kids tried it the one time and haven't wanted to bother with it again.A big waste of money.

Originally bought the Slushie this May/09, I wore the first one out and it worked so well I lost the receipt. Then this fall it quit working and I went back to Target to replace it and found out it was a seasonal item. So I ordered it online. Its a good mini-appliance just a little underpowered for the long haul.
