Ok. But I still water

They work but I note 2 things of concern with them:
1. They are top heavy when filled. Make sure that when placing a filled bulb that the pot is big enough and deep enough to keep the pot from toppling over with the weight of the bulb. Also make sure that the globe is placed at the correct angle and inserted properly or it will shift.
2. Topsoil still gets dry sometimes. I found that on the really warm days my top soil got very dry but the amount of water did not change in the globe.
They are pretty to look at and and they do release water to your plant when oxygen is released into the soil but I still find myself watering my plants to be on the safe side.

I find these to work well. In a hot climate like Texas they seem to last about a week. The only problem is they are top heavy, so you can't put it in anything that is lightweight, like a small pot, without proping it up. Also, you have to get it in there just right, otherwise it will clog. They are pretty, but far from perfect.

I really like these. Yes, they are top heavy, but I simply put the plant I'm watering close to the wall and lean the globe against the wall. I've been using one for my Poinsetia that I got for Christmas and it is STILL growing because of the globe. Usually by this time, the plant would have been long gone. It doesn't hurt to get it clogged either, because the water still continues to drain out. You do have to clear the clog when adding more water though.

Not Too Top Heavy In Large Plants

If the large aqua globes are placed in larger pots with large plants in them, they are not too top heavy.

Love the colors. Very pretty when light hits them, but they are top heavy when filled, so make sure they are deeply seated to prevent them falling out and breaking.
