I brought this toy for my 6 years old boy who is a huge fan of Ben 10. It was fun at first 2 mins for him trying to figure out how to create a different type of alien, however, the figure was not stable enough, hard to push the reject button, and the central part of the toy was broken 2 mins after my son trying to reject one of the figure. Expensive and not worth it..

My 5yr old son, recieved this toy for christmas. He loves it, he spends hrs playing with it. He also purchased (with his giftcards) more aliens. Even my 3yr old son enjoys this toy. They are constantly creating different aliens! When he first opened it, I had no clue what to do, and yet he knew exactly what he was doing. The toy is very durable. If you add batteries to the toy, it lights up while you're turning the knob (creating the alien) but in my opinon, it should make sound too. If he hadnt recieved it for xmas, I wouldve bought it for him anyhow. I would definitely recommend this toy.

My son, age 7, was so excited to get this toy for Christmas. We played it for about 5 minutes and were able to make one creature before it broke!! It was very hard to put the pieces on the chamber and when we were putting the body on is when the white piece snapped and broke. My son was very upset when it broke. I would not recommend this toy!!

I tried to talk him out of this toy for his birthday because of the reviews I have read but he had to get it. Well it is one of his favorite toys now. He does need some help ejecting the figure once its made because it is pretty hard to do. The only thing that has broke on it is the bottom tray, it does not stay hooked, minor issue only.

My 5yr. son got this toy for easter and loves it!! plays nonstop. Son far no problems but if the piece that people above are talking about breaks it comes with a spare and very simple instructions on how to fix it. I recommend it my son had no trouble using it at all pieces snapped together easily and stayed together so that he was able to play with the "new" alien. The button does taking some pressure but after i showed him that he had to apply a decient amount to get the toy to pop out he didn't have a problem.

My husband put all of the pieces in and he even had trouble getting the various pieces to actually snap together. We gave up after the 5th try. My girls find it easier just to put the pieces together by hand vs. using this expensive chamber. Waste of money in our opinion.

My 4 yr. old son, absolutely LOVED this until it broke only hours into his Christmas playing. I actually loved it too (seriously!), and gave it 5 stars for fun and 3 stars for educational value because it provided a long stretch of concentrated, excited play. I watched my son place the torso (in a normal manner, not too rough at all) onto the prongs when one of the two prongs that hold the torso piece in place broke off and the remaining prong isn't cannot hold the torso alone. Without that crucial piece working, the toy can't build an alien unless you manually hold the torso in place with the lid off, while turning the knob. For [price] it should hold up better than this! What a disappointment for it to break within hours under normal usage. We sought an exchange at Target the day after X-mas but since it wasn't in stock we got a store credit and we're undecided if we'll take the plunge again based on other reviews proving it's not an isolated incident. My son is really disappointed it didn't last!

I bought this for my son as a christmas day gift and it broke 3 minutes after opening. Very clumsy and not good for christmax. The paint on the aliens is also peeling off. I sent a part of this to our lab to test for lead. I will update if I found it inside. The smell was not good as well.

This toy seems to get a lot of boys very excited, including my 8 year old son. He had the same piece break within seconds. Unfortunately, the piece that breaks affects the entire possibility of building the alien. My son still likes the toy and has fun playing with it. He holds the body in place, manually, and attaches the arms and legs that way. It cannot be done with the top on, though. We then noticed that the center clear piece of the lid can be removed (gee, I wonder if the designers or manufacturers made it that way because they knew it would break and need some tweaking.)It is in fact not a cheap toy, so one would expect better quality.
