Awesome product! May 7, 2009 Reviewer:  Kay A. Marley "Kay" Real Name (Austin, Texas USA)  See all my reviews >

I feel guilty pumping & dumping when I make "just enough" for my infant. With this test I can find out if I really need to dump the breastmilk or not. This takes the guess work out of the decision making process. I highly reccomend this product.

GOOD CONCEPT HOWEVER COMMOM SENSE IS FREE June 30, 2009 Reviewer:  1GBMOMMY "1GBMOMMY" (GREEN BAY, WI)  See all my reviews >

I returned this product after it was all said and done I couldn't see spending on the box of test strips. COMMON SENSE IS FREE! I was going through the after pregnancy hormones of what if this or what if that, after all my hormones calmed down I got realistic. Go to the La Leche League International website if you really think you need more info on drinking and nursing. Don't binge drink and nurse(duh) and for people to get up tight about having one glass of wine and nursing a few hours later, well that's ridiculous honestly.

Great Idea September 11, 2009 Reviewer:  Jennifer Dodge "ShoeWhore" Real Name (Fort Walton Beach, Florida)  See all my reviews >

I love having the peace of mind to have a glass or 2 of wine. I hate throwing out milk! It really does seem like liquid gold. I have stockpiled the milk so I can have some wine or a margarita every now and then. Be careful though drinking decreases your supply the next day! Great product!

A great product to have "just in case..." July 8, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Irwin Real Name (Vista, CA.)  See all my reviews >

What a great idea to be able to test your milk for alcohol. Since everyone metabolizes alcohol differently, you never really know if that one drink might affect your baby while nursing. Now, you can test your milk by simply dipping a test strip in your milk - the color will change (or not change) to let you know if the milk has alcohol in it and if it is at an unsafe level. I have tried this product and it really does work. Now, I don't have to always just pump and dump when I have had a drink.

ONE OF MY FAVE PRODUCTS September 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Giselle (Virginia)  See all my reviews >

Milk Screen has been fabulous for me. Of course I know that the alcohol will filter out of my body if I wait long enough. But when I'm not positive if I've let enough time pass, I can be sure it's safe for my baby to breastfeed by using one of the test strips. I recommend this product to all breastfeeding moms who enjoy the occasional night out at the bar.

Milk Screen Really Works August 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Natural Feeding 5x "Mommy Zachari" (Sacramento, CA USA)  See all my reviews >

Last month a friend of mine turned me on to the milkscreen test strips..We were having a "Mother's" Party..Celebrating being mothers. Since our infants are at least one month apart from each other. Anyhow, I was a bit skepticle, moreso paranoid...lol. I thought this was another scheme. So I had a margarita, and it was refreshing..Althouh, I haven't eaten for at least 6 hours prior. I felt a little "relaxed" Since I haven't drank since I've been preganant. So I bean using the test strip witin 30 minutes after drinking my margarita, and the results were postitve (dark brown) I know it would be obvious, but my friend tested her milk and she was negative..I do believe everyone's metabolisim is different. I highly recommend this product for every breast feeding woman..Just drinking a little amount of alchohol does metabolizes differently. Remember to eat a full meal that may also determine how the alchohol is absorbed. I only had one margarita and that was mostly fruit juices. GO MILKSCREEN!

No more pump and dump August 8, 2008 Reviewer:  MagpieMom "MagpieMom" (Austin, TX, USA)  See all my reviews >

Milkscreen is awesome -- I'm so glad Target is carrying it now! I've always had to get it at Central Market before. It is super easy to use, you just put a drop or two of milk on the little strip and it works like a pregnancy test to tell you if there's booze in your breastmilk. The best thing for me has been that I've learned that if I drink and then dump, or just drink and wait and DON'T dump, it's the same - it's the waiting that's important, not the dumping. I just feel bad for all the times BEFORE I had this when I thought I was fine, but I probably accidentally gave my baby boozy milk. Ugh.

Peace of mind for breastfeeding moms July 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Mom 2 3 "Stacy C" (Austin, Texas United States)  See all my reviews >

Milkscreen is an easy-to-use test strip. It takes just 2 minutes to develop and tells you accurately whether or not there's enough alcohol in your breastmilk to negatively affect your baby. I wish I had known about this test sooner--I can't count the number of times I've "pumped and dumped" just in case. I highly recommend this product for breastfeeding moms.
