I had played My sims before, I did alot of research on this before I purchased. I have to say I do love this game. As an adult game player I do feel this game is better geared towards a younger audience, probably ages 7 and up. Theres alot of creative freedom in this game, as far as design, collecting, painting, and building. Unlike the my sims game, this one follows more of a story line, and unlocking certain scrolls in order to build certain things, and you dont have to go into the workshop anymore to build items, in this game you can build them on the spot. Some of the views are hard to see in this game, having to renavagate your character around to be able to see what you need to, or which tree you want to grab onto. This game utilizes some of the same controls as the first one, mining, planting, harvesting, fishing, and treasure hunting. One thing I dont like about this game is how you must also collect mana as well as the required materials to make the items you have to in order to progress through the game. However you are allowed to exchange materials for mana. One really good thing about this game vrs the first one, is in case you destroy all the trees of a certain type, your not left out of luck. Luckily this time around some of the materials are also left in regrowing plants, so you can replant the material and bring back a tree in case you chopped them all down. Which Did happen to me in the last one. Overall this game is very addictive and I highly recommend it.

I love this game! It is really fun and cute. The only thing bad is that you can finish the game really quickly, but it is still fun. Also, it is VERY addicting.

Both me and my 7 year old daughter love this game. Some of the building is a little complicated for her and she needs help but I find myself playing long after she's gotten bored and moved on to another activity!

After I played the DS version I decided to get the Wii version. After finishing the game there was simply no use for it. Even though you can rebuild past projects decorating gets boring. I think this game is mainly for ages 5-10 years old.
