This thing is a miracle. I can be feeling tired, foggy, and in pain when I get up. I turn this on and almost immediately feel awake, clear-minded, and with much less pain!!! I love it. A word of warning for people who say they can't stare at it. You are NOT supposed to stare directly at it. Read the directions. You should have it off to the side (like 45 degrees from your front line of vision or so) while you are doing something else. Also, watch that you are not holding it close and staring at it when you turn it on :-) I paid [more] for this a week ago and now it's [on sale] - bummer but the week was worth the $20. Try it, if it doesn't work for you return in. (Light therapy doesn't work for everyone, but if it does, it way better than drugs!)

I have always suffered from SAD and even moved south thinking it would help. I decided to buy one of these at the end of January. It makes life so much better. I use it for about 30 minutes every morning during the winter and on rainy days. Talk about a difference! I now have energy and my mood is like it is in the summer time. I would highly recommend this. It is compact and easy to transport if you travel. As the last review said don't look straight into it, having it off to the side will still work. The other benefit of this product is the price. The other ones are quite expensive and ugly. If you want to change improve your energy and mood in the winter buy one of these.

I really wasn't sure if this would work for me. I wasn't sure if I have SAD or not or if light therapy would really do any good. But I was pleasantly surprised. I can really tell a difference! My mood and energy level are both improved! This was money well spent. I also like the size of this little machine - fits in the palm of your hand and is easy to bring along in the travel case that comes with it. My only complaint is that the stand is flimsy and broke fairly easily. Now I prop it up on a stand my husband has for his iPod. Even with that, I would recommend this to anyone considering trying light therapy.

There isn't to much to say... I can't really tell if SAD technology works even after buying this light... I guess I'll keep it around and continue using it...

Oh... the built-in clock is basically useless...
