This is more than a ride on. My son loves the underseat activity area. There are different characters with different shapes on the bottom. They have to put the right shape into the slots on the base and when they press down a sound effect goes off.

There is also a town scene for imagining play. It also comes with a role play fireman's hat.

The rocker was great when he was smaller and he could play with the buttons and sound effects on the dash.

It's really easy to switch from the rocker to the Walker/ride on mode - you don't even need any tools.

We are very pleased!

I purchased this for my year old son. He still plays with it 3 months later! We never used it in the rocking option because he loves to ride it & push it all around the house. When the truck is opened there are characters with a puzzle shaped bottom that sit on a sound button. He enjoys putting them in and out of there home. The buttons on top not only have sound effects but say safety phases such as, "in case of emergency call 911." This toy is a great addition to a firefighter collection as well as an educational tool.
