I was a litle worried prior to purchasing this doll because of past reviews on the doll(s) hair. My oldest daughter has an AG doll and when we have taken her to get her hair done at the store they use detangler and a metal brush. So, I purchased a brush from AG for $7 and used Johnson's detangler. It worked great! Obviously it's best to keep the hair tied back or braided, but the detangler definitely made a big difference. AG recommends the metal brush because of the synthetic hair.
My 3yo LOVES her doll. I plan to buy more for her. She leaves her sisters doll alone now for the most part. I definitely recommend this doll for the younger ones and if you don't want to spend a fortune!

My 5 year old got this for her birthday. I read the reviews and was prewarned about the hair being very difficult to manage. I also let my daughter know that occasionally Mommy needs to brush her hair really good. Also because my daughter got the styling chair the dolls hair gets lots of "attention". I took the advice of another review and gently washed hair with conditioner and good as new. Also the shoes would not stay on, but I purchased an our generation outfit for ten dollars that came with tennis shoes and they stay on perfectly. This doll now goes everywhere the family goes. Love the price, and others do not know that it isn't AG. Only one child tried to burst my daughter's bubble, and that was after her mother told her that it was a knock off. Sounds like someone is jealous. Also I think the face is much prettier than the name brand expensive dolls. Do not expect perfection, but to my daughter this is the perfect doll. Good luck. I reccommend this 100%

My daughter has a AG doll, but this doll was her first one. I agree the face is prettier, but also find the hair is an issue. Will try the detangler and AG brush! The AG dolls hair is more durable and thicker, and eyelashes are too. But for the money, this is a nice doll and any little girl would be happy w/ it. She calls it an AG doll and the clothes are interchangable, so that is nice also. We bought the rodeo horse and the bed too - see my reviews for those as well. Happy Shopping Ladies!

My girls have been asking for an AG doll so i started my search for an afforable replacement since I have 6 yr old triplets. I was so happy when I found Targets "Our Generation" line. I bought Sandie, Sophie and Robin and they have taken these dolls everywhere with them; church pizza palors and even sleep with them. I was concerned about their hair based on other reviews. I let them know if it gets messy that I have to fix it myself. Not bad at all. I'm very pleased with the dolls, they are VERY pretty and their clothing is good quailty. Sandies shoes fall off on occasion so just watch out. overall GREAT DOLLS!

My 7-year-old daughter loves this doll and claims she is her own 8-year-old daughter. She takes her to the park, to dinner and on the ride to school. I am hoping to add a sister for her too. Also, this doll is poseable and the vinyl is much softer than the AG dolls.

I bought this doll for my almost 4yr old and the Alexis doll for my 11yr old cousin. When I saw them in the box, I thought they were absolutely georgous! My little girl pretends the doll is my cousin & plays allergy doctor,doll rides the rocking horse, and gets her hair done. My cousin wanted hers out of the box right after opening and was making plans to add it to her American Girl doll collection. I will probably buy another for my child's birthday if I can find one with blonde hair and brown eyes.

I was skeptical on purchasing one of these dolls due to the reviews I have read on some of the dolls but they are much more affordable than the AG dolls. I have two daughters who like the AG dolls but it was too late to order them a doll for Christmas not to mention the [...] it would have cost me for two AG dolls. My youngest (5) has this doll and loves it. She received her for Christmas and has played with her nonstop. She's a very cute doll and is wearing a cute outfit. So far so good the doll has held up well through many wardrobe chages, my daughter hasn't had any problems changing her into another outfit on her own. My daughter is happy with the doll so I'm happy.
