My complaint is that the stool is advertised as "fully assembled"---it ain't. It comes in 9 pieces with 24 fasteners (read screws). Best of all, the screws are recessed hex head. But no problem--they supply a 3" Hex wrench. Try driving 24 screws into hard wood with a small hex wrench! But wait there's more----they don't send an assembly instruction.

So if you happen to be a mechanical engineer, have a hack saw to make a driving tool for your electric drill out of the hex wrench-----and have about an hour of idle time to do the assembly----it's a nice stool.

They fit great up under a bar and dont stick out into the walking area. The are amazingly comfortable to sit in considering they are wooden.
BUT on a down note..I purchased these stools at the store. They were fully assembled in the store BUT you need to look closely as the glue had run down a side of one and they had to go back and get me another one. Some of the wood is also splittered so you need to really look at them before checking out.
They dont come with feet so if you are using them on hardwoods you need to go ahead and purchase some sort of feet for them so they dont scratch your floors.
Would I buy more of them? probably, but as I have only had them 3 weeks I would have to ask myself this in 6 months after we have used them more.

We ordered three of these barstools for our kitchen. I was worried when I read some of the reviews that talked about them being difficult or time consuming to put together. This was not the case! We had them put together in no time and they are very nice. I find the color to be very similar to the picture as well. Shipping was quick also. These stools put together in other stores are very expensive. Bought all three for the price of one at a furniture store.
