Good, but not for everyone

I like this body soap; it has a refreshing scent. My skin feels soft and smooth after using it, but this soap is not for everyone. The soap is brown, like many natural soaps, and has a thin consistency. It works best applied directly to the body, as the washcloth absorbs some of it. It might work well with a loofah, but I've never tried it. The soap does suds up. Anyone who does not like a strong lime scent may not like this one. This soap makes your skin feel very "squeaky clean," so I do not suggest this for people with dry skin. The label says you can use it as a shampoo as well, but from my experience it's too drying, so I would only suggest it for people with oily hair. When I do use it as a shampoo, I apply hair oil afterward (Giovanni). Also, keep in mind this is a more potent soap. So, it does sting if you accidentally splash it in your eyes. And, ladies, when washing certain areas, I suggest either rinsing this off quickly or using a different soap, as it does sting a little on more sensitive skin. For anyone who likes natural soap that is also fair trade, not tested on animals, and has a crisp scent, I think it's worth a try. I don't regret buying it and I use it on a regular basis-- especially when I want to get really clean after a long day. If it's available as a sample size, try that first.
**EDIT:
I have used this as a simple shaving soap, and it works pretty well for this. It's a heavier soap, so it stays on the legs pretty well while you shave. Of course, it's not like foaming shaving cream. Just another part of its versatility, if you choose to use it that way.
