We got him a different one last year that can hook up to the ipod and it was just too advanced. This one he got for his 4th bday and LOVES it. He rocks out all over the house and its easy to use. Gives him confidence because he can actually work it and produce good music. :)

This guitiar is awesome. My 3 year old son got it for his birthday and played it non-stop all day. The music is not annoying so I didn't mind and it is not super loud either. I think it has 2 volume adjusments and it can also be turned off when not in use. Very great product. It will provide lots of fun for a few years to come.

My 1 year old daughter loves this thing and so does her dad. The songs are upbeat and not annoying like some toys!

Our son got this for his 3rd birthday & is enjoying it so much
He pretends to be a rock star & sings along with it
as if he saw some one teach him to play.
He enjoys the songs and it won't get parents annoyed
to be listening it to it all day. the guitar comes with the Police ,B52 80's songs
the lights & music make it alot of fun for him.
I'd recommend it for your little one of this age
it sparks thier imagination

My 3yr 3mon and 22 month old boys LOVE THIS. It plays great songs too (like the Police, B-52s, Queen...) and is not annoying to listen too if you like the music. They love the interactive parts and use it all the time. You'd think they were playing the guitar! Tried 2 others which were not so great, and this was a big hit.

I know the age says 3 but my 22 month daughter LOVES this guitar. She stands and plays it while swaying and tiltingher head back here and there. I don't know if she has seen someone play or if a guitar just gives that feel. She loves it. I do agree that the preset songs are a big deal. It makes them feel so good about what they are doing. It has a whammy bar and I love that it doesn't play kids songs like every other irritating noisemaker out there. Funny to hear The Police on a toy.
