This is a wonderful pack n' play! My husband and I bought this for my daughter when she was about 5 weeks old. I've noticed that some other people don't really care for the newborn napper, but the newborn napper is the BEST part! My husband and I wanted something for her to sleep in at night in our room. Her first night in the newborn napper, she slept all the way through the night for her very first time! We've been using it for weeks now, and she continues to sleep through the night in it!! She loves it and we love it too because we get to actually sleep at night now! It's soft and the pillow is not at all a hazard like some people are saying...it's secured with Velcro underneath the bed and the way the bed is curved, there is no possible way for her to turn and suffocate at all. The only bad part about the newborn napper is that she's going to grow out of it soon!
All together, this pack n' play is a great buy. It's wonderful on trips. I do wish that the travel bag that comes with it was bigger and could hold all the pieces (the changing table and the napper don't fit). The vibration, music, nature sounds, timer, and the light are all really great features. This pack n' play is really great. It was absolutely worth the money!

Being Discontinued but replaced with a new style

I am registered for this item and was very concerned when it said not available on my registery and when I went to the Target site it said it was available. After reading one of the other reviews about it being discontinued I decided to call Graco and find out for sure. I was weary of it being discontinued since the stroller and carseat are not showing that they are unavailable. When I called Graco they did confirm that this particular play yard is being discontinued but that it is being replaced with a new style play yard. It will no longer have the mobile and they are adding the newborn napper. If you go to the graco site you will see what one looks like. So the Melbourne pattern will still be available it will just be a new style play yard and not this one exactly. So if you want this particular style then you should buy it if you see it. From one concerned mom to another I wanted to share what I learned.

I received this recently as a gift from my baby registry. My little one is not here yet, but I love it already and I know he will as well.
After reading several reviews and seeing one in-store, I considered taking this off of my registry. I'm glad I didn't. I realized once I'd assembled mine that obviously the employee who assembled it in the store was too lazy to put it together completely!!
I read a lot of concerns about the napper, but once I put it together for myself I disagree that it's "too pillowy". Yes, the head support in it is a little big and it does move slightly. However, the head support can be easily removed because it is velcroed to the back of the napper. I will likely remove the headrest because I do not like the way it sits, but without it there really isn't anything wrong with the napper. I also saw a few people say that the napper "sagged" in the middle. It doesn't sag, it is built that way to give it a slight incline - which I like.
The setup is fairly easy. At 8 months pregnant it only took me 30 minutes to assemble it by myself. (The instruction book isn't very clear, but with a little common sense it's a breeze)
Love the pattern, great for boy but also could be used for girl.
It is very sturdy and roomy. I love the changing table feature, the fabric is easily cleaned. (I ALREADY KNOW thanks to my nephew who spilled juice on it while I was putting it together!)
The electronics feature is great. The vibration can be used with both the napper and the full bassinet.
The "nature sounds" don't sound a whole lot like nature, but the music is nice. The light feature gives off just enough to see without being too bright and waking baby.
I love it, can't wait to use it!

Great for our Preemie

Our baby girl was born 6 weeks early and by the time we brought her home (3 weeks old) she was still having problems with acid reflux and other spit up issues after eating. It was best for her to be at an angle, however she still wasn't strong enough to be in her car seat or bouncer for more than 1/2 hr - 1 hr. So the newborn napper has been a life saver. She has enough of an incline to help keep the food down.
The changing table is great to have right there and we store burp clothes, extra blankets, and a change of clothes under it so we have everything handy.
The light and sounds that come with it are great. The light at night is enough to see her without lighting up the whole room and waking the other parent up. And the classical music that comes on it helps calm her right away. We also purchased a small travel pack-n-play and the light/music piece fits it also so we can move it wherever she is. I don't know about the vibrations as she doesn't care for that part of it.
We have not had any problems moving it between rooms, but we may have a little wider doors since we're in a newer home. With the wheels on one side though it is light enough for me to move around even while holding her.
Since she was early we ordered this while she was in the hospital and it came in a day after she came home. It only took Dad about 20 mins to put together and he had no problem with the directions (at least I think he used them...)

After I added it to my baby registry, my mother in low went to the store and bought it (I did not even have to wait for online shipping). It is a little bit heavy, but includes 3 pieces so it's understandable. The color is beautiful and perfect for a boy, although a girl will be happy with that, too. I have a little bit of problem with putting it together, but at the end, I am very pleased! The Napper part for the newborn is very soft ( I prefer that than a mobile), you can attach the massager to this part, and after baby gets bigger, you can put it under the main pad. The music player part is also cool. It plays some nice nature sounds, and view pieces of classic songs. I really love this piece... Thank you Mom!

Very Sturdy, but word of caution

We bought this pack n play after first buying a different brand. The other brand was not sturdy and we returned it. This is extremely sturdy and well built. It took us about 15-20 minutes to put this together. I was looking forward to using the napper, as that is one of the reasons we bought this. However, as some of the other reviews stated, I WILL NOT be using the napper part. It is very pillowy and soft and the bottom of the napper is not firm. I worry about suffocation hazards and SIDS. We will use the bassinet part,as well but not the napper. I am not a new parent- this is our 4th baby and do not believe I am being overly cautious.
Other than the napper feature, I LOVE the vibrating features and the sturdiness of the whole thing and would buy it again, although, maybe a model without the napper since we are not going to use that.

The removable diaper and wipe stacker is in an awkward spot, and it sags with items in it. The changing station is not padded on the edges, and when placing the baby in the changer, one could easily bump the babies head. The rigidity of the bassinet is fantastic, and allow plenty of ventilation for the baby on the sides. If a changing station and storage are not important, this product is fine.

We bought this Pack n' Play because of the 'napper' feature. We knew we wanted our baby to sleep in our room for the first few months, but did not want to spend money on a separate bassinet. This could literally be the only piece of furniture you buy for the first few months! She sleeps in the napper every night, and we have used the changing table almost exclusively. We store most of the clothes that currently fit her, as well as spare diapers and wipes, underneath on the larger bassinet 'shelf.' The wipes and diaper holder on the side also works well and thus far has fit both our newborn and size 1 diapers. I can't figure out why the napper needs the canopy-like hood - it only has gotten in the way the one time we put it on - but other than that this thing is wonderful!

I am so glad I bought this it is definetly worth the money! My daughter is almost 6 months and I am still using the changing table daily. It does not bend at all very well built. I loved that this can vibrate and play music. My daughter loved this when she was a newborn. A great place to set new babies when your trying to get something done!!!

This was the perfect pack n play for us. The baby's room and things are upstairs, but we spend most of our day downstairs. We set this up downstairs and we use it continuously during the day! The only downside is it is a lot to tear down if you want to take it somewhere because of all the extra pieces. We bought a plan pack n play for traveling/daycare and that is perfect for that specific need.
