Very Poor Shaver

Reviewer:  Jerry  (Cincinnati, OH, USA)  See all my reviews

I have used a Braun shaver for many years but the last 3 that I bought, the motor stopped after about 1 year on 2 of them and 3 months on the other. I gave up on Braun and decided to try a rotary since it seems that is what most shavers are now. I purchased this model and it is by far the worst shaver I have ever used. It just doesn't cut! You have to go over the same spot many times to at best get most of the hairs. Don't buy this shaver under any circumstances!

Painful shave

Reviewer:  Vin  (New York)  See all my reviews

this is the worst ravor I ever had. My old Norelco got stolen out of my luggage in Africa. I thought I would upgrade to a similar looking new model. I usually shave everyl 2-3 days and this razor hurt. It felt like someone was pulling each hair out of my face. I just sent it back today. Never again.

Exellent Shave!!!

Reviewer:  shoppin' around, OR, USA  See all my reviews

After reviewing many different razors online I chose this razor for my husband to try. He has had a Norelco before and tried other brands and styles. This one shaves very close without nicks. Unlike the [price] one he bought on a sale after Thanksgiving(and returned) this one holds a good charge and has good power. He says it shaves his neck easily and he is VERY pleased with this razor. At first he was concerned about cleaning it out with water, but that has worked out great. He got it on sale after Christmas for [price].

Great shaver

Reviewer:  R. Blanco  See all my reviews

Real Name

I love this shaver. I upgraded from an older Norelco model. This one is much quieter and shaves even closer. It has a very good quality feel to it. It is very easy to clean with a hinged door that also keeps the heads from falling out. The only disappointment was the sideburn trimmer. There is nothing to hold it in place tries to move back in if you don't hold it at the right angle.

Just like every other rotary shaver

Reviewer:  Tanner's Dad "Mike C"  (St Louis, MO)  See all my reviews

When I first began shaving almost 15 years ago, I bought rotary shavers because that's what my dad used. I went through 2 Norelcos, and then about 7 years ago I switched to foils.

I felt I got a much better shave with foil, but decided to go back and try a rotary - mainly because I shave my whole head and thought it would contour my head better than a foil. I was wrong. This shaver took multiple passes to cut the hair, and that was on the easy sections. I had a 5 o'clock shadow by 10am because it just would not get a close shave. The only place it did a GOOD job was on the top of my head, and there is very little hair there to begin with. It did a very poor job on the front of my neck, and for those other bald guys out there, it did even worse on the back of my neck and head.

I went back to a foil, and made the switch (from two Brauns in a row) to a Panasonic. It really cuts as close as a blade; very happy with the Panasonic Vortex.

I guess if you really like rotary shavers and have good experience with them, go for it. But otherwise you will likely be disappointed.
