Adorable - but not the ones from when you were a kid...

I am giving 4 stars so everyone has the right expectation. These 50th Birthday Little People are adorable and if you had the "originals" you will love them, but they are designed for ages 1+ so they are HUGE compared to the ones we grew up with.
What will be fun is to take out your original set (you still have it, don't you?) and put them next to the GIANTS that come in this set.
How did we survive as kids??
A must-have if you are a Little People fan.

i found this in the store today and promptly purchased it for my 10 month old nephew. i had tons of these when i was a kid in the 70s and they were my favorite toy (i called them "my friends" and spent hours playing with them every day until i was 11). while they are much larger than the ones i had, they are an amazing reproduction. my nephew played and played with them, putting them into the house and opening and closing it. he laughed and called said,"ma ma ma ma" when he picked up the mom! i hope they are something he continues to play with, as his mother and i used to. we are going to pick up all the sets for him while they are available and will hang on to them just like our mother held on to ours. great toy and i'm so glad they made these! i may have to get the barn for myself as it was my favorite playset when i was little. get them while you can!

I really loved Fisher Price Toys for my Children when they were little. Bought this for my granddaughter age 3! Not much to it! Basically it's like a lunch box style with figures. The Original School House from the 60's had more to it!!! You get what you pay for!
