We purchased the pit box set for our kids, and this Digital racing is AMAZING. You can upgrade it to 6 cars, and 6 controlers. SCX Makes a digital lap counter, chronometer, and expansions for the additional 3 cars. Imagine racing 6 people on 2 lanes of track, you can change lanes, pass, block, get gas. The track has an expert and junior speed settings. The cars are 'smart' in that they know when they are low on gas and start running slower (sputtering around the track) etc. If you ever liked slot cars, you GOTTA GET THIS!!

Without getting into too many details, a "digital" slot car system opens up the realism of what racing is about in regards to offering the capability to run a maximum of six cars on two lanes of track and provide the ability to change lanes at your choosing.
However, if you really want to see what this thing can do, search the web for SCX Digital and even go on YouTube to find videos regarding the product (I'd put a web address in but it's not allowed). I guarantee that you will be blown away by what you see. It's nothing like when you were a kid.
