Only 60% Biodegradable March 27, 2009 Reviewer:  hippymcgreen (Los Angeles)  See all my reviews >

We are very happy with these diapers, except that my 4 month old is 18 lbs and cannot wear the size 3 for much longer. At night I have him in Whole Foods 365's or Seventh Generation because these leak constantly (and really, is changing them so frequently that environmentally conscious?).

I also want to clarify for those of you that are composting these--after speaking to the company about composting them they do not recommend it because, at this point, they are only 60% biodegradable. They are working towards making them 100% biodegradable, however, and that makes me very happy to support them while working towards this goal. I like that the SAP (super-absorbent polymers) content is one of the lowest available in disposables (Tushies all-cotton have absolutely none and g-diapers have the least amount). And it's best that we protect our children from infertility now, isn't it?

Love them!!!! (But why don't they make them easier to get?) January 24, 2009 Reviewer:  WadaLife See all my reviews >

I love these diapers. I love that I don't have to feel as guilty about throwing them out - they seem like a good compromise between ordinary disposibles and cloth. When my daugher was born, we had to use Pampers because a newborn size was not available, and she constantly had a diaper rash. As soon as she graduated to these, she rarely has any rash at all. They are not perfume-y, and I feel better knowing that they are made with natural materials. They stop leaks surprisingly well. It's true that they run a little small. I usually get a size up from the recommendation. The tapes are a little stiff and scratchy, so the bigger size is good to have a little extra to wrap around the legs to protect against chafing. The only problem? They are discontinuing carrying them in the Target store I shop in!!! (Or maybe all stores?) How inconvenient that I would have to order them. What if I run out? To begin with, they aren't located in the diaper section; you must search around the baby department to find them on an endcap or something. It's too bad - I used to have a good excuse to go to Target on a regular basis...

Only for Eco-Friendly Nuts July 9, 2009 Reviewer:  True Eco-Dad See all my reviews >

These diapers are terrible. The only reason I can possibly imagine that these people are such raving fans of them, is because they have some idea that promoting them and getting others to buy them, will make them better people.

Save your money, there are cheaper diapers that leak less, won't irritate your child's skin, (because every child is different, just because one brand irritates your neighbor's baby, doesn't mean it will have the same effect on yours and has little to do with any kind of "Nasty Chemicals") and if you're throwing these in your trash thinking that you're helping the environment, where is your trash going?

If your city burns it's trash, these are just as bad as anything else. And if it dumps it in a landfill, they will still be around for a 100 years because of all the chemicals and other compounds in a landfill kill off the microbacteria needed for things to degrade, which preserves things for a very long time.

If you want to be environmentally friendly, you should compost the diapers, then sift through the dirt for the remaining 40% or so that is not bio-degradable, and throw that away. Just be sure not to use that dirt for any gardens you grow food in, or where your kids will be running barefoot. Because there are parasites that pass harmlessly through our systems in their larva stage, but then can be picked up in your feet or through food grown in dirt our waste degrades in.

FOR THOSE WITH A PROBLEM FOLDING THEM UP AFTER USE April 9, 2009 Reviewer:  Dawn Jean (Los Angeles, CA)  See all my reviews >

Try rolling them from front to back and sticking the tabs to each other, that works for me. Great diaper, good look. As someone also said, the leaves make people ask about them and that's when I can tell them how beneficial to our environment these diapers are. That's how I found out about them. A friend of mine was changing her baby and had these on, so I asked what kind they were, and was sold thereafter. Also, to those of you that find these diapers stiff, roll them and crunch them up before putting them on, that softens them up a great deal. BUY 1 SIZE LARGER. If they are too big, go with a smaller size and save the bigger ones for later use.

Awesome! February 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Fit Fan (San Diego, CA)  See all my reviews >

My wife and I started with Pampers and used them for a month or so before we found these. We switched immediately. No problems with leaks. These are a better fit for our son than gDiapers which constantly leaked. One improvement would be a better fastening system which would allow for the diaper to be wrapped tighter after use.

Awesome in every way! November 23, 2008 Reviewer:  Holly "Holly S." (Mayo, FL, USA)  See all my reviews >

These diapers are the only ones we've found that can easily withstand the large amounts of pee from my son during the night without leaking! My son runs around non-stop during the day, and these diapers still don't leak out of the legs like the other diapers. I love them, and would rather not have to EVER buy anything else.

Discrepancies w/the sizes August 24, 2009 Reviewer:  MexicaMiah (San Jose, CA)  See all my reviews >

I haven't actually used them yet but there seems to be some sort of discrepancy with the size. I visited the actual Nature BabyCare US website and then I visited the UK site and there were some major differences. On the US (and Target) site a size 1 is supposed to fit an 8-11 lbs infant, and on the UK site a size 1 is supposed to fit a 4-11 lbs infant. Size 2:US site= 12+ lbs, UK site=6-13 lbs, Size 3: US site=16+ lbs, UK site=9-20 lbs, Size 4: US site=22+ lbs, UK site=15-44 lbs. Hope that helps.

Eco-friendly if you compost them, work well July 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Mother Nurture "Ginger M." (Alexandria, VA)  See all my reviews >

I researched eco-friendly diapers a lot b-4 my baby boy was born and heard about leaking problems with most other brands, so I decided to give Nature Babycare a shot. Yes, they fell more like paper than the softness of Huggies or Pampers or Luvs, but they didn't cause any rashes, even without diaper cream. The first month I used them, we had only 2 small leaks (no blowouts). I used size one and hope that as he gets bigger, that the leak percentage stays this low, that remains to be seen.

I agree with True EcoDad's review 7-10-09, that you really need to compost these yourself to be kind to the earth, but I don't have that ability in my condo. I do use the Diaper Dekor's biodegrable bags to put them b-c if you put eco-friendly diapers in plastic bags, you're wasting your $.

These are not cheap and adding shipping to them too, well I sure wish Target would carry them in stores along with their GREAT WIPES (see my review on those).

Great product June 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Ruppie (New York, NY)  See all my reviews >

We have used these on our son since he arrived home and have had no complaints. There are only a few stores in our home town of Jacksonville, FL that carry this brand and of course none are as close to home as we would like. We have asked Target if we could have them sent to our neighborhood store if we purchased them in case lots, no luck. The stores say they have no control over the ordering and are unable to make special request. So, we drive out of our way and stock up monthly on them.

starting a trend for young moms April 3, 2009 Reviewer:  eco momma (so cal)  See all my reviews >

I'm 22 and have very green views so from the moment I brought my son home I have been using cloth diapers. I registered for these diapers because my fiance and i are always on the go, and i didnt want to have to carry dirty cloth diapers around. I had been fighting this horrible diaper rash that the hospital pampers gave my little one and decided to use these at night- in hopes of pulling the wetness away from his skin. They are amazing! no leaks ever! and yes, they run small... but as long as you know that before buying then its no big deal. I love the leaf design because it calls a lot of attention and when asked " what type of diapers are those" I can educate them for how much better they are for the earth and your little one. But do know the reason why they arent as "soft" as pampers is because they dont have alllll of those awful chemicals. I havent been able to switch any of my friends to cloth diapers but they are now using these :)
