I just put this bassinet together by myself (7 months pregnant) ... WASN'T THAT HARD! Looks great, nothing was broken OR falling apart. The other reviews are correct in the little device that is supposed to provide music and vibration, it's pretty chessy. However, I bought the bassinet for a BABY BED not for some capabilities a baby swing should have. I suppose I am of the opinion that a baby should sleep without extra distractions so that the transition into the crib isn't difficult. Maybe I will change my mind when the baby comes. Love this bassinet - can't wait to use it =)

Bassinet was difficult to put together. Fabric came already torn as soon as I took it out of the box...and the suede type tan fabric wasnt compltely sewn in important places and has been coming apart. I wish I had bought another bassinet instead. My son will be here in 4 days and this bassinet is already falling apart. Complete waste of money and I am very dissapointed!

I have spent hours and hours looking at reviews and features on many bassinets! I also compared the same products with different websites...and was so happy that I found this one which seemed to be great!!! We put it together and it wasnt too bad...It would have been easier and not as long if I would've known my finace needed an extra hand to put it together!! But once we got it all together...there is no plastic thingy with the all in one night light, vibration, and songs...the reason why I picked this one in the first place!!! yes it rocks nice..the locking thing is just ok but for [price] that only rocks now i would have gotten a cheaper one...i called the missing parts and the guy was nice but said this model didnt come with that piece and it wouldnt fit on my newer model one anyways...weird bc on the features online at target it says it does!!! so i went to target and they had the wrong model on display. it was the older model (with the music box) which was the one i wanted in the first place but they dont carry that one any more. target was very nice and actually gave me the music box from the display since they had to get rid of the older model anyways!!! so overall i love it now...the newer model fabric and darker wood is so much better (matches perfectly)...and with the old music box it fits perfectly onto the newer model!!! I haven't used it yet...but can't wait to!!!

It didn't take that long for me and my husband to put it together. The finish product look great and is very classy. The locking part can be better like many review was saying but it does work. Our light/music/vibrator box works perfectly so far (had it for over a month now). The only "problem" for us is the mattress pad, which is a little odd sized so some of the standard bassinet sheet does not work. Otherwise, love the looks and how it match our other furiture.

It does take two people to assemble and the lock mechanism doesn't really work all that great but we weren't planning on rocking it all that much anyway. This is my second child so just wanted something that was compact and high end. I got what I paid for =)

This bassinet is classy-chic, safe, and affordable. I have noticed many negative reviews with regards to the locking mechanism and rocking, but if the directions are followed closely, then there are no problems. I admit the directions are not very clear and precise as they should be (the read more like a sterio manual)... I had to put together and re-assemble twice before I got it right. But now that its together properly... no complaints.

We loved the look of this bassinet and so did our friends. They bought this bassinet but only used it once because they found that the locking mechanism that kept it from rocking side to side would not stay locked. After putting their newborn son to sleep in this bassinet they checked on him and were horrified to find him sleeping with his little face pressed up against the fabric sidewall of the bassinet(because the bassinet locking mechanism hadn't locked). They were too concerned about this happening again to ever use this bassinet after that. We borrowed the bassinet thinking that we might be able to fix it, but weren't able to prevent the same thing from happening. This looks like it might have the same locking mechanism problems as the other Eddie Bauer product that was recently recalled. For us, our baby's safety was more important the a good looking bassinet. PARENTS - BUY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

My husband and I were excited to get this as a gift. We started to put it together and there were a total of 3 flaws! 1) The holes in the two sides of the frame did not match up so it was impossible to construct. 2) The canopy fabric was ripped. 3) The mechanism that the bassinet locked into at the frame was missing a nut making it impossible to tighten it so that it was sturdy. Luckily we had accidentally received two of these bassinets so we could mix and match and successfully put it together. What a lemon!

This bassinet was bought for me for my baby shower. I loved it at first. The locking mechanism does not work very well like everyone else has been saying. I do have a music box with mine (that doesnt fit..had to put a sock under it to keep it on) which comes in handy now because my son is 2 months old and likes the music and it helps put him to sleep. I used the vibration on it like 2 or 3 times and now it doesnt work. The light also came in handy...being a new mom I like to check on him without turning on a brighter light...the light doesnt work anymore! My baby was born at the end of January so I havent been using this for very long. Overall I am pretty upset with the product. Sure I didnt buy it myself but Im pretty upset someone spent that much money on it for it to not fully function correctly.
