I just purchased this item and right after setting and turning it on (the same day) I had problems with it first it made a weird buzzing sound but when I tried watching TV it wasn't that bad (you could still hear it though) so it didn't really bother me.
A few days later I started seeing pink lines moving up on the background of the screen so I called Panasonic they told me that it's probably my cable box that's broken. Now I ordered and exchanged boxes and what a surprise it is still doing it (very upsetting). Anyway I guess I'll just have to return it to target, it’s not that easy to do with a plasma TV because it has a special way of being wrapped around and all that stuff, you also got to be extra careful the way you handle it in your car.
Good luck with whatever TV you buy.

I had bought a 42" LCD with 60Hz (refresh rate), and returned it the next day because it was too bright in a low lit room (we watch this TV mostly at night), and LCD's with low Hz blur with fast moving images (60Hz is not fast enough; some LCDs are now 120, and 240 but cost more). So, I bought this TV for a little bit more than my first TV. This Panasonic plasma w/ 600Hz has an incredible picture. I'm very happy with this TV. In selecting between LCD or plasma, your viewing conditions are important. In a very brightly lit room, plasma will look muted, but in most environments, plasma looks much richer. It is hard to tell standing in a box store with glowing fluroescent lighting how it will look at home ... I learned from my first purchase/mistake.

i love this tv. after speculating which tv to buy for about a year this one appeard to be the best!@ i am glad i chose this one! It looks amazing with dvds, tv and video games! awesome buy! the awesomly fast refresh rate makes this tv legit! no blurryness at all! u wil love this tV!

I really love my new Plasma, great screen, and good options. The tv does make a little bit of a buzzing sound, but you don't notice it unless you stand directly behind the TV.

After pricing TV's for what seems forever.. Target had the best price for this size of TV. 42" for $... what a deal!! Its a little heavier because it is a plasma but with the help of some friends we are good to go. Took nothing to assemble the stand, plug it in, program and watch tv. what an awesome picture. very happy!!!
