I registered for this car seat for my newborn son and received it as a gift. I thought the design was cute and to some degree gender neutral. I bought this seat because it was one of a few compatible seats with the BOB stroller. I have since returned this seat because of the impracticality of it. To adjust the straps of this seat you have to thread the straps through the back. It is pretty difficult and cumbersome to do. You have to loosen them enough to get your baby in and then tighten them to make it safe enough ... and it all has to be done through the back. This may not seem like a big deal to new parents but I can't tell you how much easier (and I believe safer) it is to tigthen the straps through the front. Not only do you not have to reach behind the seat but it is done by pulling on single strap instead of two seperate straps. Spend the little more money it takes to get a seat that has the ability to be tightened through the front!

If you want a really high quality car seat then buy more expensive but if you are just looking for a cute basic car seat and don't want to break the bank then this is the car seat for you. We have the car seat and I like that its light weight and I love the pattern on the car seat. The Snugride has awesome safety ratings so we couldn't be happier. The baby falls right to sleep in this car seat. It was a perfect choice for us.

It's a nice enough carseat. The colors are great and the canopy was easy to put on.
My biggest complaint and the reason I returned the car seat is because when you need to adjust or loosen the straps it's done from the back. This I know will become very frustrating when I have to try and loosen it and tighten it when I'm getting LO in and out of the carseat. Just not worth the frustration for me!

in regards to your review about this seat not having cushion...ANY good seat will not be cushiony due to the fact that cushion on a seat will not let you tighten your straps as much as they need to be. in the event of an accident, a cushioned seat will be very dangerous, as will anything you put under a child which is a BIG NO NO. all car seats have the same 'fabric' and cushion because that is what's safe.

I love this carseat. Everyone tells me that they love the pattern. It's good for a boy or a girl. My son has taken many naps in his carrier. It is also easy to wash. I have washed it several times in the past 5 months and it still looks like new. It is quite heavy now that my guy is growing. I tend to leave it in the car now and just carry him inside. I also love the travel system. It makes it easy to move him from the car to the stroller when he is asleep. We have gotten a lot of use out of the travel system over the last 5 months.

I love GRACO products. This is my third child and all of my children had GRACO car seats. Had to get another infant car seat after my last baby because I gave it to a friend. The other GRACO infant seat I LOVED but it is sold out or too expensive everywhere (Step 1 safeseat). The Snugride doesn't compare to it but will be safe I'm sure. I originally bought a different car seat and ended up exchanging for this one today. I'm not a fan of the pattern. Honestly I don't like it at all. Snugride has sooooo many patterns but at the store this was the only pattern. My husband and I decided to buy it because it was on sale at a great price and we wanted the car seat now. The car seat fits into my GRACO double stroller and is easy to get in and out of the base. Can't wait to bring baby home in it.

I bought this carseat because the one I had made my baby head fall over to the side. This car seat keeps her head in place and it looks very comfortable for her. I would recommend this carseat to anyone.

I had to have graco when i was pregnant with my son, it was just one of those mommy obsessions. i loved the way the carseat and the strollers from graco look. I saw this one and it was cheaper and it was very fashionable with boy or girl. i always have compliments on his carseat and stroller design. but now that my son is 7 months old and 25lbs......cant use it anymore. but the stroller i still use. the stroller is so easy to store in the trunk, sometimes its to hot to put my son in the car befor i put my son in the car so i have to put the stroller in the trunk with one arm and i can! my husband is very impressed! its light and very easy! get one!

I bought this seat to replace my 6 year old seat that expired. I have always purchased Graco products and they have never failed me yet, and their prices are fantastic! Anyway, it ended up fitting in my Graco travel system stroller that is 6 years old. I love the design and so does my husband. We are expecting again and do not know the sex of the baby so it is perfect for either or. I also purchased the duo glider double stroler in this desing and would recommend that as well. My only quarrel is that I dont know why they the seat seperate and as a travel system. I now want the stroller but have no use for a second seat. They should sell just the stroller also.
