I love the design of this flat iron. The plates on the edges are great for when it's used as a curling iron. Also, it gives my hair great shine. I've used and owned the expensive flat irons in the past and see no difference in the performance between this one and the [..]+ models. My expensive Paul Mitchell quit working properly after a few years and I decided to try a "cheaper" version and could not be happier with it. I also like the design better on this one (the plates on the edges) than the Chi I was considering buying. I highly recommend this flat iron!

I was so excited to get this, because i thought it would save me loads of time in the a.m. Unfortunately all it did was give me flyaways because every stroke snagged hair and broke it, and left me with a few kinks but definitely not any type of curl whatsoever. Unfortunately its going back.

I really like this straightener. It leaves my hair shiny and soft, and most importantly, straight all day. I love it! My only problem is that it seems a bot confusing when trying to use it as a curling iron, but since I don't curl my hair ever anyway, it's not really too much of a problem.

This does an excellent job of straightening my thick hair. The curved edges work great for flipping my hair under or out, but I haven't been able to make actual curls.

I needed to get a new straightener, and I figured I would give this a shot, especially since it cost about as much as my previous straightener. It DOES straighten hair, it DOES curl hair, and it DOES NOT pull my hair out! It works great and just as advertised.

I have a flat iron, I have a curling iron. I wanted this to make the curls it claims. It did nothing. It works as a flat iron but if you already have one, don't bother with this.

I've tried using the cheaper straighteners/curling irons, and nothing works better than this! This works amazing...it has a way better quality than other ones and I think $30 buys you a better straightener than any cheaper one...it's worth the extra money because it lasts longer and works better...i used to think the cheaper ones worked good, but they just fry up your hair and damage it, this one takes away frizz, lasts ALL DAY long and is your moneys worth, trust me...its worth it!

In difference to the other reviews, I am not fond of the multi-functioning styling iron. It pulls hair when you curl it and the tip of the iron gets extremely hot. The crevices catch a couple strands of your hair and pull it out--which isn't a pleasant feeling! If you have course, curly, and/or thick hair, this product isn't for you. It's a complete mess and waste of money. I'd rather use a curling iron or flat iron separately.
I will saythat I have used Conair products in the past and haven't had many problems. This product has a good concept behind it but doesn't work very well!
