I have been viewing the set for about 2 weeks. Installed and found local Comcast cable (both analog and QAM) quickly.
I use it in a relatively open breakfast room area and initially noticed that the sound level seemed weak. But after changing the default sound setting to surround-sound, the volume and clarity significantly improved.
Picture quality for digital and HD stations are very crisp. Even comcast analog stations broadcasts at 480i are very clear when viewed from 10 to 20 feet away.
Great price/performance from Target online.

I found this television set in a Target store. Someone had returned it from an online purchase. Before I purchased it, I researched opinions about the television's performance and found several favorable opinions. I needed a somewhat small TV, in this price range, for light to medium use, to use with a DVD player.

I currently have the set hooked up to a Converting DVD player using a HDMI cable (the RCA cable it comes with didn't give a good picture quality for watching movies). I have an extra HD receiver for television viewing. I'll connect it as well, and I anticipate equally good picture quality.

One disadvantage to this tv is the placement of the cable connectors at the rear of the tv. You have to lay the tv face down to see where you're plugging in a cable or tilt your head and reach underneath the screen backing to feel for the connectors.

The advantages are it's portability, screen size (its not common to find a 24" 1080p), ability to use as a laptop monitor, sound quality, and overall price.

I was not looking for a high tech experience when I purchased this TV, so if you are looking for a home theater experience, this may not be what you need. However, if you need a practical, functional TV to meet a specific need, this is great!

Lala, I had this exact problem with my AOC TV this morning; found your review while googling for possible solutions. I got in touch with AOC's tech support, and this was really easy to fix:
1) Turn TV on
2) Hold down Menu and Channel+ buttons (on TV, NOT remote)
3) While holding down Menu and Channel+, tap Power button on TV. This should bring up a little menu on the top left.
4) Move the cursor down to "Memory Recall" and hit enter.
5) Turn TV off, then back on again.
6) This got my inputs to come back, but I had to perform steps 1-3 again, then select "EEPROM Init" from the menu to get my color balance back to normal.

By way of a review, I've had no problems (other than this one) using this TV as an external monitor for my laptop. Sound quality isn't great w/ the built-in speakers. My experience w/ AOC's tech support was much better than expected. Tech was friendly, helpful, and though English wasn't his native language, he was fluent. Definitely a good value for the money.

This was such a deal I could not pass it up, plus Target was offering free shipping so my spare room finally got a television. Now I have never heard of this brand before and there are tell tale signs this is not a huge name brand. The zoom distorts the picture...the sleep timer graphics are so small you have to guess what it says and don't turn the volume ALL the way up or it will scratch...but for the price you get a nice clear picture and a great deal

Liked tv for the price, bought in June and now Oct 3rd the channels won't change, can't get DTV or DVD picture, says no signal and cannot find a solution. Ordered on Target.com after our wedding (we were registered here too) and now since three months have passed, cannot return it to Target. :( AOC is difficult to deal with b/c it is overseas and I am stuck with a new tv that wont work. I would even take an exchange...maybe 3 more months of tv

HAD THIS SET FOR ABOUT 2.5 MONTHS AND FOUND THE PICTURE TO BE VERY GOOD.THE GRAPHICS FOR VOLUME, SLEEP AND MENU ARE VERY DIFICULT TO READ.SOUND IS SCREACHY.MY REAL SEVERE PROBLEMIS THE DVD HOOK UP.THERE IS ONLY ONE AV SLOT WHICH I NEED FOR THE TOP BOX SO I TRIED THE YPbPr SLOT AND THE DVD DOES NOT APPEAR. I WENT TO THE AOC WEB SITE AND TECH SUPPORT AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM. NO RESPONSE. ALTERNATIVE - RETURN THE SET TO TARGET.SUPPORT FROM THE COMPANY IS NON EXISTANT.
