Just a warning to consumers that the Lionel train set in this photo runs on electric from your OUTLET and is NOT battery operated as indicated in the descripton. It is highly durable, teaches your chld the basics of electrical theory, provides chances for child/parent interaction and imagination, and will last a LIFEIME with proper care and maintenance.
ALSO, the individual silver-color boxcar shown is not the same as the red-white-blue boxcar depicted in the photo of the full set. Which is accurate?

New Blue Stripe Lionel Baltimore & Ohio Set

Overall a typical set from Lionel. The engine is the Lionel classic 2-4-2 not a 4-4-0 as discribed. There is a engineer and fireman in the cab of the engine that are not ment to be removed though they probably can be. I didn't note in the discription anything about battery power, B&O stands for Baltimore & Ohio. There is another error in the discription, a short extension bridge IS NOT included in this set. There is, however, a second boxcar that is shown in the 3rd picture giving you a total of four cars after the tender with this set. Note: The picture shows a contact wheel for the center rail suggesting that this car has some operating feature, it DOES NOT. The tender has a whistle, both boxcars have opening doors on each side, the reels can be removed from the gondola, and the caboose IS NOT illuminated. Overall I think this is a good starter or expansion set.
