This is exactly what it says it is... it is a great beginners train track set! It is less than 2 feet long and about 1 1/4 ft wide. It is a perfect little train set! My 1 1/2 year old son loves it! Get it for that child who loves thomas... but is too young for the "fancier" tracks! :)

I purchased this set for my two-year-old son last Christmas. I figured it would be a simple way to introduce him to trains. Well, it worked a little too well! A year later, our floor is covered with Thomas trains and tracks! He plays with his trains every single day! So it's a great item - he could put it together easily, Thomas and the caboose are great - but beware! Your child may fall in love!!! Enjoy!

The toy came with tracks that don't make a circle. It seems to me that all the tracks should make the same turn (right I guess). Some make lefts. Therefore, ...no circle. I'll have to stop by Target I guess.
