Great color, but more empire waisted than it appears, and you have to almost dislocate your shoulder to get into it; it really should have had a zipper or a different contruction. It also runs small.

Dresses are a winter (and summer) staple in my wardrobe. I ordered this (berry and sapphire) to add to my collection for this winter. It's a jersey-type knit (rayon and spandex blend), so it lays very nicely and it's extremely comfortable on. I don't remember looking at the back of the dress before ordering, but it's very cute. There are tiny pleats or gathers across the top and bottom of the band that goes across the middle of the dress. It creates a very flatting flow to the back of the dress... and it makes it very interesting (I think). I don't think it runs small. I ordered two sizes - my regular size and one size up (because of the other review). Both sizes fit me just fine. I did end up keeping the larger size of the two, but really either would have worked well on me. The waist is a bit more empire than it appears in the picture, but I think the model may just have a long torso (just a guess). I really like the way it fits and I would recommend it. Also, because of the weight of this dress, I think it will be a perfect transition piece from fall to winter to spring. I've tried it on with many different pair of shoes and it looks great with everything from pumps to flats to boots. :)

The fabric is way too thin! Even with my most seamless undergarments on, you could see the outlines through the fabric. I am afraid it will not hold up to many washings. On the other hand it is a great color.

I'm really happy this dress hadn't sold out. It's been in my cart forever and I wish I had ordered it earlier. The color is great, the dress can go from season to season, and it fits true to size (I ordered a S because I'm a 34B/C and bigger on the bottom).
