Great solar r/c car with good control

I was hoping that a company would come out with a solar radio controlled car for a reasonable price and the time has come. This is a great product and have no regrets! The vehicle was charged in direct sunlight for the initial run. I also like the fact that it charges the hand-held remote controller from the car so there's no need to buy any batteries or mess with cables. I left it out for a full charge and got excellent run time. The car has nice pick up and go with the rubber tires including quick steering from the remote with little if any lag time. The prepainted Lexan-type body keeps the weight down and allows for minor bumps. This one is on 27mhz so you need to find one on 49mhz if you wish to race two side-by-side, hopefully one will come out in a different color scheme perhaps on 49mhz. It is a great buy for the price and can't go wrong, just remember that you need a good place for sunlight to hit the top solar cell unit and a smooth area to run this. It is large enough for a driveway but small enough to drive around inside on carpet.

I left this thing right next to the window for 2 weeks and it would work for about a minute.
Rather than throw it away, I added a battery pack to the car and two AA's and it's the coolest toy ever now!
Educational value: Today's lesson children -- If solar doesn't work on a child's toy it will never work on a real automobile.

Excellent product. Vehicle and remote are charged by the sun relatively quickly. Holds it's charge longer than advertised. Range with 27 mhz controller is well almost 500', unbelievable as compared to other RC's I've had. Nice rubber wheels and very lightweight. Am thinking of buying another to race with my 10 year old, if I can find the 49 mhz version (all New Bright RC's come both 27 mhz and 49 mhz). Great examples of a "sustainable" toy.
