We purchased these dolls to get a jumpstart on our daughter's collection. Its probably a good value but they are not as good quality as Barbie dolls are. Some of the faces surprised me as I didn't expect them to look the way they do. Ariel's legs are completely enclosed inside her tail which seems to limit my daughter playing with her. (Similar Ariel dolls have an opening near the fin to allow for movement of her legs which my daughter prefers.)
What disappointed me the most is their hair, it is very hard and stiff, not like the softer, more brushable Barbie hair.

I got the pictured version of this set which contains Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, and Tiana (center), NOT "Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan" as described. I am thrilled to get this for my daughter since she's biracial and loves having dolls of different races. Tiana is a great addition.

I purchased last years set for my little girl. The princesses are great! However my 2 biggest complaints are: 1. The dresses do not hold up well. My daughter has only had her set since June, & 2 of the dresses need to be replaced. The stitching is poor in the back along the closures. Also the "glittery" tops do not wear as well either. 2. The body shapes are all different sizes. I'm all for diversity. However when your little one wants to changes dresses and the dresses don't work, it's a little frustrating for them.

I've replaced the dresses with Barbie dresses, but the body shape thing comes into play again. Disney/Target need to take a page out of the Barbie handbook and make the bodies all the same. Just my opinion!

We received these dolls as a gift from Grandma...I was amazed by the reasonable price when I saw them in the store! I thought it was a GREAT buy! Not only do my little girls LOVE them, but I was even impressed by the detail of every doll. Each one is unique (which I find good for my girls to see) and they have held true to each princess's character. My daughters are 2 and 3, so far they have been very durable, and trust that they are "well loved" and played with constantly...we have had them since August. Lastly, their hair dos have held up really well, with the exeption of Areil...her hair seems a bit different in texture than the other dolls. For as much as they are played with, I am impressed. I am planning on buying another set to "replace" this one when they start looking haggard...looks like that may be awhile. Great job Mom!
