Last Year's model had weakly water colored lights. This year's lights look a little better. The thing that improved the most is that the structure of the buildings don't look crooked and out of alignment like they did last year. There is a lot of variation in the quality of all of these villages. The village arrangement this year is not as pretty, but it is well done. In some models the lights don't move very much and that's my strongest complaint. The whole point of having fiber optic lights is that they are supposed to move as they change color in a very hypnotic fashion. I didn't find that with very many of this year's villages, but you might find a good one if you are a bit picky.

I'd really like to see them come up with some totally new villages. Whatever they come up with, they need to have good strongly colored moving optic lights trimmed all over them with very few missing. The structure should be aligned well like this one and the lights should be moving, not just changing color. That's the whole point of having fiber optic lights. It should mesmorize you.
