After deliberating over which vacuum was the "best" the past two years and not wanting to fork over the money for a Dyson, Eureka finally developed a product that is very similar to the Dyson for suction and easy on the pocketbook. I couldn't be happier with this product and ease of use. Consumer Reports just did a mid-August review on this product and also were just as pleased with it's performance. You can't go wrong with this product!

I just bought this vacuum at a Target store. Assembly was pretty easy - I had it up and running in about 15 minutes. I was hesitant to get another bagless vacuum after a bad experience with Hoover - I had to take it outside and it was just a MESS to empty the dirt cup. This vacuum is a breeze, though - you just press one button and the bottom drops off the cup and the dirt goes into the trash can without a big dust cloud. I also love the telescoping handle and the easy to use attachments. You never have to bend over. One of the best features is the retractable cord (why don't ALL vacuums have this?)

The only downsides are that the cord is a little short, and the vacuum is a little heavier than I would like, but I would definitely recommend!!

Just got this vacuum yesterday, and I have already fallen in love. It is quieter than any other vacuum I have ever used, and it is self-propelled. The suction is fantastic! It picked up huge amounts of dirt and carpet fuzz - things we were breathing on a daily basis! The cup is very easy to empty, and the filter is cleanable, so I won't have to buy a new one every month. The vacuum is a little heavier than most, but not so heavy that I have any trouble carrying it up a flight of stairs. It's the perfect size for our 3-bedroom house!

We have only owned this vacuum a short time so no long term results. Short term, this vacuum runs with the higher priced models. It does a great job, has attachments that are easy to use, and the vacuum itself is easy to use. As for putting it together, my 6 and 7 year old kids put it together and all I had to to was watch and tighten the screws (5) properly. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone. My only con is the color; wish it was offered in another color.

I shopped around quite a bit and actually returned a couple of vacuums before finding this one. I wanted something that had powerful suction, HEPA filtration, and was light and easy to use. I am so happy with my purchase. It has powerful suction and does a great job picking up pet hair. There was no dust, air or pet odor escaping as I vacuumed - nothing. That is the most wonderful feature for me! No dust settled on the furniture afterwards - I looked. I was so pleasantly surprised. This is my first bagless. The canister is easy to empty, the filter is easy to access and both are washable - features that make it affordable to use. The front edges of the vacuum stick out a little like a T-shape which I didn't notice when I bought it, but it made getting around furniture legs and in corners so easy. What a nice surprise that was as compared to my old clunky Hoover. It is light and easy to manuever. I like the retractable cord. The handle release and power foot pedals are easy to reach and use. The telescopic handle is very comfortable. I used to vacuum about once a week because my old vacuum blew out so much pet dander that I had to wear a dust mask. Now I vacuum everyday and it doesn't affect my breathing at all. In fact I feel like I'm breathing a little easier since I bought this vacuum. I think my old one was really worn out and not picking up the dust and I didn't realize it. Long story short - this vacuum is just what I was looking for. Best $ I've spent in a long time. If you hate vacuuming because of your heavy cumbersome vacuum and because of the dust and smell it can create, do yourself a favor and buy this great little vacuum.

I don't believe these people one bit that are saying the weight of this is reasonable. They must be shills. I'm a 40 year old very fit man and this thing IS heavy. It is also incredibly bulky. The upholstry brush you see just below the handle is worthless. The suction is powerful enough and otherwise it's fine.

Bought the vaccum on Friday nite, was a little hesitent- because it was less money than the other vacuums. Took about 10 minutes to put it together on Saturday morning, went to work cleaning. Oh my gosh - it did a great job. Very easy to dump the dirt out. The weight of the vacuum is great-as I have a shoulder injury from years past- it does not take a work out to use. My girls will enjoy using the vacuum as well. I had a cat in the house- and where it sat most of the time was FULL of cat hair. Not even a sticky roller would get the all of the hair out of the cushion. Used the stain and upholstery attachment and cleaned the cushion and WOW- it did a great job, not even my old vacuum could do that. I also love the handle, feels very comfortable and natural to use. On the kitchen floor it worked very well too, it didn't to "spit" out the dirt on a bare floor like other vacuums do. The noise level is not bad either, I have had a lot worse and it doesnt sound like a freight truck in the house either.

We just bought this vacuum after our 4 year old competitor brand one died. I was never very happy with the way our hold one cleaned. I was blown away by the suction of this Eureka. I never would have guessed that there was that much sitting deep in our carpets. After one run of this Eureka, the holder was full and needed to be dumped. I thought this would be how every vacuum job would be, but when I ran it again for a second time there was hardly anything in the holder showing how deeply the Eureka cleaned the first time. Eureka has very high reviews with consumer reports, but I had always thought you had to spend a lot of money to get the quality. This vacuum was a great value and a very smart purchase.

Great vacuum for the price. Very easy assembly, love the cord rewind feature. Great sucking power on vacuum and hose. Only downside is it is a bit heavy...about 20lbs. Very happy with it so far.
