Warning!! Inferior System October 24, 2009 Reviewer:  Jason1216 "Jason1216" (The OC)  See all my reviews >

"Before you buy this system you need to know that there is a 10.6% failure rate for Playstation 3's and of those people whose first system failed there was a 14.7% chance that there second system would have a hardware malfunction. On top of that Sony's Customer service only had a 51.1% approval. I speak from experience because my second system in 18 months just crashed on me. Now Sony seems more concerned about getting my credit card number for $... to receive a third unit that has no guarantee it will last any longer than the first two that were defective."

Great Value Great features October 27, 2009 Reviewer:  Sgt.Davidson "John R." (NY)  See all my reviews >

I bought this Playstation 3 system the day after my 40gb failed on me which was on sept.3 the day it came out this has been working like a charm ever since I got it. And now the features 120gb of space enough to store your music and movies and obviously game data. since the holidays/christmas is almost up this would be a perfect selection.

Awesome October 22, 2009 Reviewer:  DevilDoll (Shakopee, MN)  See all my reviews >

I've owned this system since the first month it came out. Best gaming system on the market. Better than Xbox in every way except one, game matchmaking(pairing). System has never failed, overheated, or crashed hard. I did have the system re-boot once or twice before, but very rare. Plays most old PS2 games. At least any PS2 game worth playing.
Best Blue Ray player on the market as well. Not bad for playback of all media. Music, movies, and photos too. Run a media server on your home PC and the PS3 will find it and you can play your entire collection right there in your living room. Awesome.

who is "Jason1216" (The OC) ??? Bill Gates November 13, 2009 Reviewer:  The Boobie Man (Dracut Ma)  See all my reviews >

Hey Jason1216 The PlayStation 3 failure rate is only 10.6% and the X BOX 360 is 54.2%. I own 2 X BOX 360's. 1 PlayStation 3 and a WII. My first 360 i got 2 years ago and it has been replaced 4 times by Microsoft the second 360 is only 9 months old and it has been shipped back to Microsoft 3 time for repair or replacement . The WII we got for Christmas last year and was replaced 2 months ago and the playstion 3 is 16 months old and has never giving us an issue. So if you think the play station 3 is a Inferior System then I hate to see what you think of the X Box 360.

10.6% failure is way better than the failure rate from microsoft xbox360....
The poorly manufactured, red ring of death-prone console has a 54.2 percent failure rate, compared to 10.6 percent for the PS3 and the Wii's 6.8 percent.

Breaks easily! Do not buy! November 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Big Gamer "B.G." (Alhambra, CA)  See all my reviews >

This system looks great on paper, but mine only lasted a couple of years and then just stopped working. I did nothing to damage the system, but Sony would not accept responsibility for their faulty product. Sony wanted me to pay another $.. to have them fix it. This game system is too expensive and poorly designed to be worth while. There is a reason the PS3 is losing the console wars. Do a search for "my playstation 3 is not working" and you'll see that MANY others have had the same experience.

Not a fanboy either way, new to console gaming October 31, 2009 Reviewer:  mr. clean "jbm" (Euclid, OH)  See all my reviews >

My decision to buy a gaming console came from throwing up the white flag. PC Gamers have been subjected to a dwindling amount of choices for their gaming desires. I have spent hundreds of dollars chasing the newest and greatest add ons to my PC rig, for what application software? Basically I have a deluxe system for mediocre software thus the PS3 was my choice.

Why PS3? Why not X-box?

My first and main reason its forum tract record. Out side of online gaming the PS3 and X-box 360 are the same quality.

My second reason was extra costs. Wireless and online costs mainly. My opinion may change soon. I plan to buy an X Box in three to four month's when all other chip sets are exhausted with the current systems. Jasper is surposed to be the fix to RROD.
