The only fault I've found is that it's a bit clumsy to use. The three buttons on the side are both the same size and close together and it takes some getting used to. That said, it's wonderful. I took a multi-day train trip and tracked the whole way, down to switches on the track. Really impressive to have alt, bearing, speed, etc, as well as being able to gauge distance and everyone around me wanted that info often. Downloaded route at home to show family what I saw, and map sites of the pictures I took along the way (used waypoints / info on camera). I upgraded from a 4 year old basic model eTrex and am very, very satisfied. Good range, energy consumption, and sensivity (even held signal through some tunnels). Good buy for the casual user for hiking, daytripping, geocaching, etc.
