Chefmate Cast Casserole, October 19, 2008 I've had the pot for two years. It is a great alternative to Le Crueset pots which cost much more. The inside white paint will stain over time. The exterior paint may be "chip resistant" but count on chips both to the lid and pot. Do not soak the pot overnight. It is cast iron and needs to be treated like a cast skillet to some degree. I use the pot often and do recommend it. It's a great red!
