RCA Dual-Wake Clock Radio - RP5430

Volume is messed up, February 18, 2009 This is actually a great alarm clock. I like the blue digits and how you can unplug it, take it to a different location, plug in an ipod and the time doesn't change. HOWEVER, the volume control is messed up (since the day I got it) and it just randomly turns the volume down so low that once the radio alarm didn't wake me up because of that. It is a loose control or something. I've actually been meaning to get back to Target to exchange it for the same thing and hoping that it's just a weird problem with this particular one I got. Other than that, I love it.

Not worth it, July 30, 2008 This is so annoying because the tray that collects and holds the stuff you pick up off of the floor is TINY. It needs to be emptied every minute. Plus, it really doesn't work well on hard floors. It is alright on carpet, but not if there's any fringe or frayed ends. If you can find one of those old fashioned non motorized push brooms that look like this, they work just as well on carpet. I am going to take this back to target and exchange it for a cordless mini vaccuum that will work on hard floors and be able to hold more than just a quarter of a cup of dirt.

Ok for infrequent use, July 23, 2008 This was a gift. It is sort of inconvenient to use for several reasons: 1. You can't tell how much water is inside, or if you need to add some for the steamer. 2. The steam wand doesn't move and it's really short, so using it is awkward. 3. the cord that plugs into the wall is only one foot long. 4. it doesn't come with a container to put milk into to steam. 5. the steam wand makes water trickle out when it's supposed to be steaming. you have to have a cup ready to contain the water that comes out of the steam wand until it begins to make steam. 6. you can't steam and froth milk at the same time as pouring the shots.

longer than it looks, July 21, 2008 I ordered it online in a size 12. it fits nicely, but could be hemmed maybe. the model makes it look knee length, but at 5'4'', it is more like two inches below my knees. it is sort of shapeless, too- i might have a tailor pull in the sides a little bit because right now it is sort of boxy. and i'm mad that i just bought it online for forty dollars and the day after it arrives at my house it has been moved to clearance for twenty eight dollars. oh well.

Pretty Retro, July 21, 2008 I really like it. It's not white though, it is definitely cream. The fabric is sort of like knitted or crocheted and seems like it might be a bit too hot for a summer day. it's very comfortable. i am thinking of having a seamstreee take in the waist but keeping the bottom how it is. it has a very retro look to it, no doubt.

Not for big hips, July 13, 2008 I have the kind of body that has most of the fat in my belly and love handles area. This dress is not good for that type of body. I treid on a size 14 in the store and right where your hips/love handles are, there is extra fabric where the pleats are and the dress jsut sort of like poofs out at your hips. There is like extra material there and instead of going down into the skirt,it juts out and makes your hips and belly look bigger than they really are. This is probably good for someone whose body lookes like the models, but for someone who is a size 14, it makes you look bigger through the mid section than you really are.

Great, July 10, 2008 If you are not a knife connesoire, these are a good purchase. We hardly ever need to use knives, but when we do these do the trick. A great basic starter set for someone.

Looks cheap, July 10, 2008 I got this to hold the player, and also my records. It basically looks cheaper than it is. I'd get the ones that are more money because they look like they cost more. This looks like it cost about ten dollars. But it is cute and does the job, it's sturdy and goe well with the player. I jsut wish I'd gotten one of the ones with a door or wooden album holders in the middle.

I love it!, July 10, 2008 If you think this is the only stereo you can have in your house, you're wrong. This is more like a decoration that can play music, too. But I only play my old Elvis albums on it and at pretty low volumes so I don't blow the speakers and render it useless.
Based upon the price, it's mostly supposed to be one of those novelty things that are cool to have, but not as your only stereo system. I got it only to play my albums on, and rarely ever even do that. So it looks cool in our hosue and people compliment us on it a lot.
Definitely get one of the stands that goes with it to place it on, too.

Very pretty, July 10, 2008 This is very pretty. I think you can probably get something similar at [another retailer] but it is still pretty. You can see how the bottom base is attached to the pedestal neck. The platter and this both look a little bit cheaper than i had expected, but they are still very pretty. I've seen bowls and platters with the same quality as these at bargain stores for less money. But if money is no issue for you, go ahead and get this! It's a nice decoration and is also a nice (medium) size so you can actually use it to serve food in.
