These are size premium, if you know what size prefolds come in. That means they fit any baby from 4 months to 18 months. Older baby's need a wrap style cover for these, since their waists will be too large to pull the diaper around. Young babies can wear these with pins or with a 'Snappi' fastener, or folded into a wrap style cover. They are twill weave 4x4x4 in layers, so they are thinner than Chinese prefolds (4x6x4 or 4x8x4), but I find they work fine as a daytime diaper, as long as you change the baby every 3-4 hours. Overnight would require two of these. These are MUCH better than the birdseye weave diapers Gerber sells, with that silly "absorbant" pad. If your debating between the two, buy these! But don't bother with the Dappi covers Target sells, they just wick urine right onto their fronts. Go online and buy some 'Bummis', or 'Proraps' for a cover, or just Google search for diaper covers.
