5-Shelf Corner Bookcase - Espresso

 Very nice piece, March 6, 2009
I bought 2 of these for the corners of my son's room on either side of his bed. It really gives the room a finished look and I'm pleased with the quality. The color is dark, as you would expect with Espresso. It matched his existing bedroom set perfectly. It's very easy to put together. It comes in two pieces that fit together with plastic dowels and mine didn't line up properly, but we figured out a work around.

 Lots of damaged pieces, December 24, 2007
If you buy this bed, be prepared for it to arrive with several damaged, dinged, chipped and otherwise imperfect pieces. For the price, I expected the particle board and laminate, but I didn't expect it to be such poor quality. It's packed in such a way that the metal pieces gouge the wood. There's a toll free number to call and report the damages, but it takes a couple weeks to get replacements. It definitely wasn't worth the hassle! We had the same problems with the nightstands. Very disappointing.
