Three starsGood, but not practical, November 12, 2009
pros:
- Absorbent: no leaks, great for wiping lanolin off breast and pump components too.
- Packed in plastic for sanitary travel
- Packed in pairs, less packaging to open = more convenient and more earth friendly.
- Does not leave lint or gel on your breast.
- Discrete, do not show through my shirts.

Cons:
- Too small for my 40 DD sized post-delivery breasts: moves around because the adhesive cannot stand up to the size , and does not cover nipples when it moves around.
- A bit pricey
- Not available at any of the Target stores around me, so shipping cost gets added to the total price, and can't just run out and get some when you're out.

I recommend the "Especially for Mom" brand instead.

One staridiotic size, November 12, 2009
The gloves are made for ages 4-16. The fans of Kai-lan are between 2 and 6. My 2 and a 1/2 year old daughter saw this at Target and bagged for it. Of course, when we opened it, it was way way way too big for her. In fact, they are so big, that they fit me- the 5 foot 4 inch 30 year old mom.

Five starsgreat for cleaning pump componants and platex/avent nipples, October 16, 2009
I have tried 5 different brushes and this has met my needs best. In fact it is the only brush that has met all my needs.
The strength of this set is in the smaller nipple brush. If you use systems that take disposable liners (Playtex and Avent), you don't even need the bigger brush.

Pros:
- Great for getting in the little spaces of Medela pump components. Really, the only brush I have found that can do that well.

- Does not scratch pump components, bottles, or brushes.

- Great for easy cleaning of bottle nipples. This is true with the larger Avent and Paytex nipples, and the standard sized Evenflow nipples.

- Has held up better than other sponge brushes (i.e. Munchkin) I have tried.

- Available at Target and other baby stores, not just on-line.

Cons:
- The larger brush is good for bottles with big openings (i.e. Avent), but needs to be cut to size for standard sized bottles (i.e. Medela and Evenflow).

-A bit pricey.

- Need to replace every few months, just like any other brush, for sanitary reasons.

Two starsA hassle to line up parts with eachother and with wall, October 16, 2009
This growth chart is very cute, but is such a hassle.

First of all, it says to put it on the wall, two feet off the ground, so you have to get a tape measure out.

Second of all, the chart measurements do not start right at the bottom of the growth chart, but between 1/8 and 1/16 inches from the bottom. So when you find the point on the wall that is 2 feet off the ground, you then have to subtract for the gap between the bottom of the chart to the point where the measurement starts on the chart. Otherwise you are just a bit off every time you measure your kid's height.
Third, it is a pain to line up the four separate sheets that make up this chart just right as you stick them to the wall.
-Because of the hassles I don't see a scenario where I could easily take each of the four parts of this chart off the wall and reassemble them somewhere else without going through the whole process again.
-Lastly, unlike paper charts, you can't easily save this chart in a memory box once you kids are done with it. You would have to tape them to some other paper or something or they will stick to themselves.

I do not recommend this product. I wish I had bought something else.

Four starsGood. Better with accessories., October 16, 2009
Pros:
- the wings stay put well, and can stay on without bothering your kid in a car seat if needed.
- great costume for warmer states like California, where it is still warm during the day time in October.
- Can easily be adapted for colder night time whether with a pair of black tights/panty hose/leggings and a black shirt worn under the costume. Can currently find both at Target and at gymboree.
- The bee antenna headband is great for dress up fun year round.

Cons:
- Hard to find toddler sized black or yellow shoes to go with this outfit. Some Target stores have some sometimes.

-Would it have killed them to include black leggings or at least shoe covers to minimize the money you have to spend to complete this outfit?

Favorite take-along toy, July 29, 2009
Pros:
- For more than a year we have taken this toy on many trips and it has been stuffed in tight spaces, dropped and thrown, stepped on, and drooled on. Still works great.
- Batteries last a very long time. In all this time and after much use we have changed batteries only once and only recently.
- There is an on-off switch, and there is great volume control.
- The feature that allows you to record your own voice/creation is fantastic. It is about 30 seconds long and vdry easy to record and re-record whatever you want. We have recorded theme songs from TV shows, Daddy's voice saying goodnight when he had to take an overnight trip, favorite nursery songs, and I Love You messages from grandparents. Our daughter loves that she can play them back without our help. She has been doing so since age one.
-It also plays an array of instrumental versions of nursery songs.
- There is a lever that when pushed to one side makes things play faster and when pushed to the othe side makes things play slower. This seems to entertain my daughter for several minutes. When applied to things we record on there, the voice distortions that result make her laugh out loud.

I have found no con to this toy.

One starNo good, July 29, 2009
The holes are too small, the nipple portion fits in the cap only one way, and the colors are this ugly neon-like colors. Nubby makes a similar one that is fantastic. I recommend buying the Nubby instead.
Munchkin does make a good straw cup however. I do recommend that one once your kiddo is ready for straw cups.

Four starsGood book., July 28, 2009
This book uses the Bunny characters from Goodnigh Moon, which is another book by the same author. While Goodnight Moon takes place at bedtime and entirely in the bunny's bedroom, this book follows the bunny and his parents (and in one scene another young bunny and another pair of big bunnies- in our house they are referred to as grandma, grandpa, and baby sister) throughout the course of 2 days.
While Goodnight Moon is all about naming things in the bunny's room and saying goodnight to them, this book is about the bunny comparing his things to those belonging to his parents. (i.e. "My Dog. Daddy's dog. Daddy's dog once caught a frog.")
It's a cute book that my toddler likes. She likes it so much that I am sick of reading it to her!
There is one sentence towards the begining that does not have a corresponding item in the picture (Daddy's pijamas). My daughter has driven me nuts by asking where Daddy's pijamas are everytime we read this book. That is the main reason I gave it 4 stars.

If they like the TV show, they love this too., July 27, 2009
My 2 year old daughter watches Handy Manny every day. So, when her baby sister arrived, we had baby sister present this to our 2 year old as a present in the hospital. Our 2 year old looooooooooves this toy and it has helped her see that having a baby sister has a few perks!

Pros:
- Our 2 year old is willing to share with this toy, since it has 9 parts (including the tool box).
- Pat the hammer is the favorite in our house, since our daughter can bang on everything with it. It's nice and durable too, and has handled abuse from her beautifully.
- "Squeeze" and "Turner" and "Philipe" are functional tools.
- Half the tools go up and down, and the "hop up jump in" song plays when you press the button. This seems to be very exciting to my 2 year old daughter.
- If you press the button again, you will hear short sentences spoken by the different tools.

Cons:
- The mechanism that makes the tools go up and down is loud, and so the volume of the song is loud so it can be heard over it. And there is no volume control on this toy. I tried to lower the volume by putting a sticker on the speaker. That resulted in the volume of the song and utterances being lowered but the sound of the moving mechanism not being lowered, so you could barely hear the song over the noise of the moving mechanism.

- To prevent brakeage, the tape in the tape measure comes out only about a 1/4 inch. Very disappointing, especially since the one that comes in a package with a functionl "Dusty" (sold separately) is a much better one and retracts and pulls out 6 inches (the tape in that one is a parchment type of material rather than hard plastic).
-Beware that some of the talking tools sold separately will fit in this tool box (i.e. Turner, the Pat that is packaged with things to fix) and some will not (i.e. the functional Dusty, the Pat that is packaged with another tool). This is important information if one of the tools is lost and you try to buy a replacement.

Five starsUseful quick read and reference, July 23, 2009
Pros:
- Actual useful information. Lists what is a good option and what is not as good and why. Helps you decode what you see on a menue. A section on best and worst choices at many different restaurant chains, a section on best and worst choices on different catgories of restaurants (i.e. Mexican, Italian, etc.), a section on best and worst choices available at different holidays and occasions (i.e. Thanksgiving, theme park), a section on best and worst ingredients, and more.
-Quick and fun read, with pictures and factoids accompanying the information. (An excellent lunch break or bathroom reader!)
-Well organized. Easy to find the info.
- I recommend reading it through once, and then keeping it in your car for when you go out to eat. Can pull right to the drive through window and use it as a reference for what to order, or take a quick look at the page for the restaurant chain or restaurant type that you are going to for brunch/lunch/dinner before stepping into the restaurant.

Con:
-The only thing missing from this book, in my opinion, is the list of daily value recommendations for men and women (the list that the food label percentages are based on.) I had to go online to find that, print it, and slip it in this book for my future referance. That way I know what to shoot for and how much damage in percentages each meal is costing me in calories, fat, saturated fat, sodium, and sugar.
