When we were looking for an upgrade from our infant car seat, we looked at the safety ratings first, ease of use second. This seat ranked at the top in both categories. The seat is very easy to put in and take out of our car, which is equipped with the Latch system. If you didn't have a Latch system, it would be a little more difficult, but still relatively easy compared to other seats we looked at. The seat is comfortable for our son, turning rides that usually involved a lot of crying into pleasant babblefests. Our son was a preemie, though, and is small for his age. A larger child may not be so comfortable, but I can't say for certain, not having a point of reference to judge this. I love the velcro tabs on the side of the seat and the straps! They hold back the straps as you put him in the seat, making the task of getting him in and out (the roughest part of the trip for us) much easier. It has a side impact protection as well. Safest seat out there. We highly recommend it.

The kit was a gift. We loved the nasal aspirator. I'm embarrassed to say I could not easily figure out how to operate the thermometer. It took several tries and re-reads of the instructions, and when you think about your mindset when you'll be using this...not a great selling point. The nail clippers are a mystery in functionality design (and they're not sharp). Everything else in the kit is more than suitable. It is nice to have everything in one kit.

 Didn't know how much we needed this until the dog ate it, February 3, 2009
We received this as part of a kit. The smaller point minimized the discomfort for our son, and frankly, the suction was fine. One day, the dog got a hold of it, and now we're using the one we got from the hospital. Our son hates it, and I feel the suction on the one from the hospital is lousy. We'll get getting another one of these VERY soon. I did feel the plastic was a bit hard, though, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, I (and my son) much prefer this one to the hospital issued aspirator.
