Ok seriously if you're having trouble with this blender it's probably because you have failed to treat it for what it is....a low cost mini blender. Ok so the TV ad is deceiving and you can't blend ice cubes or cheese, but so what? If your goal is to make smoothies effortlessly with no cleanup, and I've used mine to do this every day for 4 years, then the bullet is for you. Two key things to note when making smoothies.

1) All frozen fruit and harder objects must go in the cup first, so they get blended last and don't make the blade stick when the blender is starting.

2) Make sure this thing has tons of liquid in it because the bullet won't work without at least a third of the cup being liquid. I usually just fill the cup almost all the way with fruit and then fill it to the top with juice which will also fill in the spaces between the fruit.

You'll have a lot more success if you just fit the blade (with the fully loaded cup attached) into the machine and use the plug to modulate the "pulsing" of the blender (by plugging it in and out). Pulse pulse pulse and soon you're in smoothie heaven, a quick rinse of the blade and flip it upside down to dry and after your done with your smoothie just stick the cup in the dishwasher....IT DOESN'T GET EASIER THAN THIS FOR SMOOTHIES. If you're trying to get into a good daily fruit consuming habit, convenience is king.

One last thing: don't use big piece of hard frozen fruit like mangos or frozen bananas unless you first soften them under some warm water in the sink. Basically, if you give the bullet a little leeway you'll never go smoothie-less again.
