Figured out how to fix low water light..., May 29, 2009 Purchased this item on sale even after reading the reviews. As everyone else has said, there are apparently two issues with this machine. 1) low water light comes on even when the machine has water in it. I had this problem after the machine made ice one time. I tried to get more ice, but the red light came on and even after draining and refilling several times (with a wait inbetween) the water would not flow and no ice. My husband commented that the machine might have a manual float and that it was stuck (don't know if that's the case). So the next time I turned the machine on, I tipped it slightly (45 degrees) toward the back of the counter by pushing up on the front of the machine. Happily, this worked like a charm. I have drained the machine several times and refilled and it continues to work without a problem.
The second problem was the ice full light. Thankfully, someone else already posted the fix for this. Just hold on to the thermostat (metal post on the top right corner of ice bin) with your fingers for a few seconds and it will reset.
No other problems at this point. I would have given 5 stars except for the problems that needed work arounds.
