Circo Transportation Wastebasket
 |
|
Adorable! Well made!, August 19, 2009 Though the wastebasket is designed to go with the bathroom set, I'm actually using it in my toddler's bedroom to coordinate with the "Hit the Road" bedding set. It is a little small for a bedroom, but I think for a two year old's room it will be fine. I like that it's so heavy and thus won't tip over easily. Since his bedroom has hardwood floors, we did put felt sliders on the bottom of this though just to make sure it won't scratch up the floor.

Do Your Room® Hit the Road Valance with Tab Top

Paper thin fabric, August 18, 2009 We bought most of the "Hit the Road" items and were delighted with them. However, the fabric in the valance is ridiculously thin, so you can see right through it. We decided to return it, and I bought some transportation themed fabric at a fabric store for $3.00 and decided to sew my own...that $3.00 fabric is double the thickness of this valance!

Why is there no flat sheet?, August 18, 2009 I think it's really silly that there is no flat sheet offered with this set. The matching toddler comforter set has one, so why wouldn't this one have it? I ended up getting just a plain blue toddler set for my extra set of sheets, since there's no flat sheet for this one.

Yuck! Buy Lansinoh instead, March 3, 2009 I have tried Gerber, Lansinoh, and these bags, and definetly have to say the Lansinoh are much better than these! These bags only hold 5 ounces, while the Lansinoh holds six. Medela's also have to freeze standing up, while the Lansinoh's freeze flat (which takes up less freezer space, makes them much easier to stack up one on top of the other, and also makes them defrost much faster). The Medela plastic feels stiff, while the Lansinoh is thicker but more flexible. There is only one seal on these bags, while Lansinoh is double sealed. I also like the pouring spout of the Lansinoh bags much better--it's much easier to pour it out once it's defrosted. Plus, these Medela bags take double the time to defrost, and it's much harder to seal all the air out (so they're more likely to freezer burn). I've also had two of them leak on me, while I've never had any of my Lansinoh bags leak. Your breastmilk is way too precious to risk using these bags. Medela has some really great pumps--but their bags are not well designed--don't trust them!

Big timesaver!, March 3, 2009 I pumped 4 to 6 times a day for 8 months, and these were a huge time saver! I kept two sets of breast shields and pump parts, and I would just rinse them after I pumped, then stick them in one of these bags to sterilize. At the end of the day I would actually wash everything with soap and water. You just stick the parts in with two ounces of water and heat for 3 minutes. I also discovered that the lids to their bottles hold exactly two ounces of water, so that always made it easier to measure the water. Also, if you get the bag out of the microwave and dump it out as soon as it's done, it's dry in less than a minute. One thing--though the directions say it's ok to clean your tubing in it, I wouldn't reccommend it. You really shouldn't have to clean your tubing anyway! I did try it with mine, and it ended up getting mildewed because water got into it. It also became really flimsy and cloudy after I steamed it, and I ended up having to go to a medical supply speciality store to replace it.

Handy to have!, March 3, 2009 If you have the Freesytle pump, these are definetly worth getting! It's very handy to have a second set. However, note that you'll also need to buy another set of breast shields to make it worth while--this kit doesn't come with them.

Tiddliwinks Froggie Dust Ruffle

Cute design! Good accent color!, March 3, 2009 This dust ruffle is a very cute, bright color. It was a pain to adjust it just right, but I suppose all dust ruffles are like that. Also, when our crib was at its highest setting it had an inch gap under it. Now that it's at its lowest setting 9 months later, it drags on the floor 2 inches. I guess there's not much you can do about it though--most dust ruffles would have the same problem. I like the color and design of this dust ruffle though--it's bright and cheerful, but not overpowering.

Very cute and handy, March 3, 2009 I own three sets of these baskets, and use them to keep bibs, burp clothes, toys, and washclothes in. They are very handy and I like the design. (I do wish the smaller baskets would also have the frog design on it too, and that the design would be on both sides.) The inside cover gets a bit twisted at times as you take things in and out. There's also some gaps in the basket weaving now after 9 months(especially the ones toys are stored in!). Also, now that my son is pulling up, he has figured out how to pull the cover off of the baskets. As a result, the elastic is getting loose and it falls off more often.

Tiddliwinks Froggie Contour Pad Cover

Very Soft, cute print, March 3, 2009 I love this cover! It fits the rest of my nursery decor perfectly, and is very soft. My son is 9 months old now, and it's held up well. However, the Munchkin brand cover that I also bought at Target has a cute little pocket on the side that is perfect for fitting a pacifier in it. I wish this one had it as well.

Different Length than the Soft-Fit kind, March 3, 2009 I bought these to have as a spare to go with my Freestyle pump. The Freestyle comes with the Soft Fit kind, but since the Soft Fit can't be cleaned with their micro-steamer bags, I thought these would be more convenient. (I used the microsteam bags to clean everything!) Anyway, the length of these is actually longer than the Soft Fits, which means I have to readjust the hands-free straps every time I switch back and forth between them. It's a bit of a pain.
