I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!, March 18, 2007 I received this machine for Christmas and it is a piece of junk! I can't get it to sew a simple stitch no matter what I do. I have read the manual and called Brother. They tell me to take to service center but I have not even been able to sew anything yet! I was TRYING to sew a scrap piece of material and all of a sudden it went into reverse. This is dangerous!!!The motor keeps binding and then jumps. Brother will not stand behind their product. Do not buy unless you want a piece of junk. I know how to sew and have used another brand for years.
