Proper brewing, November 12, 2008 I have bought several of these at the recommendation of friends in the coffee industry. I use them to prepare coffee for lectures and tasting events. (I teach the geography of coffee and usually provide samples for audiences.)
It is the only way I know to make coffee that is close to the quality of French press, but in larger volume. The key is that this brewer gets the water much hotter than most, fully extracting the coffee.
So far, I have not experienced the failures that other reviewers have. I do not use mine daily, but when I do use them, I often make 5 or more pots in rapid succession.
