= Durability = Fun = Educational = Overall The Star Trek Mind Expander, November 26, 2006 Our whole family loves this item! This toy allowed my husband and I to have dinner uninterupted almost every night for the first 2 months!! I purchased this for our daughter before she was born and she's 7 months now. It was one of those items that would keep her happy for at least 10 minutes, up to 30 minutes when she was 0 - 8 weeks old and I needed to eat/shower/cry/etc. I love the little song at the beginning, "Hello Baby" and she loves the bee, butterfly and bird. She doesn't use it every day anymore, but even when I put her under it now, she still is amused by it and now loves pulling on the "leaves" and the toys attached to them - still happy for about 30 minutes or so. It's good for a "calming" activity especially before bedtime. Batteries don't seem to be an issue for us, but she even enjoys it when it's not "on."
My DH teased me when I was off work on maternity leave that my brain was turning to mush and I should spend time under this product which he dubbed "the Star Trek Mind Expander."

poor quality product, April 8, 2006 I washed this item in cold water, with Dreft, and tumbled dry on LOW heat in preparation for our baby's arrival. It shrunk to the point of barely fitting on my Sealy full size crib mattress and one part of the side mesh even had tore about 3 inches. I was very disappointed with this product.
