With all the video games and modern electronics, some may find this "hard to run" or "difficult to manage". However, if you value this item as these trains were valued 20 years ago, it's a great toy or hobby. Half the fun is setting the track. The second half is running the train. If you don't have the patients or skill to work a hobby-like toy, then you should not purchase this item. With this set, you are the conductor and can have countless hours of fun using your imagination while learning a little engineering on the side. Don't throw it at a 3-yr old, but participate and have fun supervising, and playing, with your children.
